Flexible, portable, well crafted, and loads of fun
I purchased this as an amateur/hobbyist with a musical background who's interested in developing some percussion skills. I have previously experimented with other hand drums, so I know some basics, but wanted something cheap and portable to learn some techniques and rhythms.I was impressed by the portability and nice construction off the bat. The corners and edges are rounded and comfortable so I have little worry about injury during use.I was also pleasantly surprised by the variety of tones you can get. The snares on the bottom half run along the middle of the instrument, and so the edges of the bottom give a less snare-y tone (kind of akin to a high tom). The 2 sections are also different sizes, so the top has a much lower tone, giving you some flexibility. I also discovered that the 2 sound holes are small enough to position your hands partially over -- this can quiet the tone when fully covered, and can adjust the pitch downward. There's enough interesting sounds to keep me occupied for a while!I can't speak to its suitability as a gig instrument, but for my use case, it seems perfect!

Looks great, nice tone. Very pleased.
It looks really great & I’m sure will serve its purpose. I don’t know how well it will hold up over time. Only saying that because it was rather inexpensive. It will only see occasional use, so I think we’ll be fine. No flaws in construction & the artwork is really nice. Nice sound. I am very happy with it.

Great sounding, not to loud, easily transported drum.
My husband, who was at one time a professional drummer, is living with memory problems. We are part of a small local senior, square-dancing group and are privileged to have local musicians play for us. I purchased this small hand drum so he could be a part of that group. It is easy to transport, has a nice sound with a little snare built in. It is perfect, without being intrusive. He played all evening. Only two regrets one not buying it sooner, and two,not purchasing a carrying bag.

Perfect for Beginners: Fun, Inspiring, and Easy to Learn!
As a complete beginner, the POGOLAB Two-tone Cajon has been the perfect introduction to percussion! This is my first drum purchase, and I’ve had so much fun exploring the different sounds it can create. The bass is deep, the snare is clear (though sometimes tricky to hit—but that’s probably just my inexperience), and the overall sound is impressively loud and vibrant. It’s been a blast playing along to my favorite songs, and I’ve even started daydreaming about using it in a performance one day. For someone who has no idea how to ‘really’ play, this cajon is both accessible and inspiring. One area that could use improvement is the included instrument strap. It’s of medium quality and not long enough to go over my shoulder for standing play, which might make it better suited for a child than an adult. Aside from that, this cajon has exceeded my expectations and makes me excited to keep learning. If you’re a beginner looking for a fun and motivating instrument, or just want to add a versatile percussion piece to your collection, I’d definitely recommend the POGOLAB Two-tone Cajon. It’s been a joy to play!

Great, portable drum. Could use a longer strap.
I am in love with this little drum. It produces nice sound and is super-portable, so it's easy to take with me to drum circles. I just wish the strap were a bit longer, as I'm only 5'4" and the strap is a bit short, even when fully extended.

Great size
This little cajon is the perfect size to carry around. I needed it for 1 song in our concert. This one was not expensive, has a great sound and is not cumbersome to carry from place to place like a full size one would be. It's fun to play and looks great too.

Cajon
I’m not a percussionist. Playing the cajon is easy to do. It’s just fun and a great percussion filler for our band.

Nice sound at a very reasonable price
This handheld cajon is made well and sound good for its size. You won't get low tones from this, but it has a decent accent sound for mid-bass tones.
