This is fabulous!
I was completely blown away with this. The amount of polish in the bottles, the beautiful colors, all of the different tools including the uv lamp. I bought a lamp on sale over a year ago and paid twice what this whole set cost. You will be very happy with this.

Quality Product!
This is a great budget friendly set! It comes with everything you need to do your nails. The polish is salon quality and goes on smooth. I've had my nails done for 5 weeks using this polish and it did not fade or chip! The lamp and drill are both quality products as well!

You'll need to buy a better UV light
I bought this kit because I have terribly thin, peeling nails that I just can't grow very long – it's a hereditary thing and it's frustrating. I've had acrylic nails in the past, first from a salon, and then I started doing my own. It was a lot of work, and they never looked as good as the ones I got in a salon, so I gave up on them and started using press-on nails. Unfortunately, I found those to be very damaging to my nail beds. When gel nails started to enter the scene, I was intrigued by the concept, and my friends all loved theirs. I just didn't want to shell out the money for regular manicures in a salon. When these DIY kits started popping up, I was really interested in trying one, and I heard good things from friends. Also, the glowing Amazon reviews were really encouraging, so I ordered this kit. Overall, I think it's a decent basic nail kit, with a couple of caveats.First, let me just say that I'm always a little suspicious of reviews that seem to go overboard with praise, and some of the reviews for this product read like advertisements. Still, since there were no overly bad reviews, I decided to trust the the good ones and give this kit a chance. The Pros:(1) The price. Since one of my issues is that I just don't want to shell out the money for salon nails, the price point on this product seemed almost too good to be true. As others have stated about this kit, you really get a lot for your money. You get the UV light, a base coat, two top coats (shiny and matte), and12 nail colors. In addition, you get a number of useful tools and a fairly decent little instruction booklet, although it is a little confusing to read sometimes, given that whoever wrote it is clearly speaking English as a second language. Still, it's easy enough to follow, for the most part. Overall, you will be pleased by just how much you get for the price.(2) It's easy to use. Other than the issues I mention below in the “Cons” section, this product was surprisingly simple to apply. I'll admit I was a little nervous to try it for the first time, but I needn't have been. It's not difficult at all.(3) As others have pointed out, the 12 colors it comes with are all lovely. Very nice choices for a starter kit.(4) The packaging is flawless, almost to a fault. When ordering anything liquid, there's always the risk of leaks. This product is about as leakproof as it could possibly be, so much so that getting the plastic wrap off of the nail polish bottles is a bit of an ordeal. You'll practically need a razor blade to get it off.The Cons:(1) The UV light. Let's just get that out of the way first. I definitely had to purchase a better light from a different manufacturer. The instructions say to cure each coat under the light for 1-2 minutes, but this light is just not nearly powerful enough for that. 8-10 minutes is more accurate. Some of the other reviews do tell you to be patient, and some have said that the curing can take up to 5 minutes, but I have to wonder if it's even safe to keep your hands under the light for as long as is necessary. Applying this product is a lengthy ordeal with the original light, and each coat takes forever to cure.(2) One reviewer remarked that the bottles of polish are full-size, which isn't even close to being true. While they aren't as small as a lot of the mini bottles of polish on the market, it's inaccurate to call them “full-size.” They remind me of those tiny bottles of polish in sets made for children. Still, given the low cost of this kit, they're more than sufficient to get you started. They just won't last very long.Overall, this is a very nice UV gel nail kit, and it works great, but you'll probably be even happier with it if you replace the UV light with a better version and purchase some polishes that aren't sample-size. Curing each coat for 5 minutes or more gets old really fast.
