works as expected but doesnt lock itself (Update) exceptional customer service
The media could not be loaded. This lock works as expected, you can install it very easily, add a fingerprint, set up codes, etc., but it supposed to be lock itself after you leave the house, guess what? It does not lock itself. I tried a lot and set it up as instructed, but still doesn't work. Philips please get in touch with me and let me know how to fix this issue. If it works I will update my review.(Update): The seller personally contacted me and sent me another door lock free of charge, without even asking me to return the one I have with me. I did not expect this, Philips has exceptional customer service. I Just received the new door lock that they sent me, I did not use it yet, but once I test if it works as it should then I will change my review to 5 stars, but for right now I raised my review from 3 stars to 4 stars. I will update you soon.Update: 10/26/2023 I got the new Philips smart lock, I tested and installed it. It works seamlessly, installation was a piece of cake. The fingerprint works great, it self-locks after 30 sec or what you set it up. I don't see any issue this time with the new Philips smart lock that they sent me. I could use the master code, user code, and one-time PIN and all works perfectly. It has Bluetooth connectivity and it works great just download the app that is all you need.

I would do it again but I can't quite get it to 5 stars
Overall I really do like this lock. With kids in the house it's a great alternative to hiding keys under rocks. Since our kids are all iPad users they are also fully comfortable with using their fingerprints to access stuff. Win/win.As someone else mentioned in a review, I received a lock that had a flaw in the mounting plate. I had to drill a slot bigger to allow the cable to pass through. Not a big deal but this thing would literally be a 25 minute project were it not for that issue. It's a bit of a bummer to have to butcher up a brand new unit but there's no way I was going to wait for them to send a new plate. Done and done.I see there are versions of this lock that are keypad only, this version I would avoid. Waking up the keypad is not consistent. It takes some gymnastics of the hand to get the thing to come alive. The fingerprint scanner, on the other hand, is flawless. Touch and open - all set.A great lock from a reputable brand name with just a couple flaws. Overall I'm pleased with the investment.

Waste of money
Update- i did change my review because the company did reach out to me and did rectify the situation. Not very often do companies actually offer to help so I really do appreciate this!I bought this for my front door and I'm not sure if I got a faulty one or what but it hardly works and I do not reccomend this product.Cons - the keypad hardly ever lights up so it won't let me put in my pass code, you can hardly hear the volume on it, will not register any fingerprint.Pros - easy installation

Not sure what's wrong with it.
Love the look. Easy installation.I think we just got a bad product. It's won't auto unlock on its own. It tries but fails. You can unlock with key. But the key can not be removed until the dead bolt is out, which helps none of you want to close door because the lock from the inside won't turn either.

The best for our family, especially with kids
The media could not be loaded. We’ve been so happy with this lock. You can set it so that it locks automatically (no more worrying “did we lock the door?”), you can program it with a ton of fingerprints and different codes. All 3 of my kids are able to come and go as they please with ease. I no longer have to pull out my keys to unlock the door when I come home. This has been such a game changer. My friend and aunt already bought one for their homes. I cannot recommend it enough. It’s sleek, modern and works wonderfully! I love that there are 3 entry points: key, code and fingerprint.

Perfect
I bought this door lock for our condo and it's really the perfect solution for our friends and family using our condo. I don't have to worry about giving someone a key. The batteries last long too. Very easy to install as well.

Never again Phillips
Sometimes I wonder if companies physically test their products with actual humans before going to market. With this product it's clear they decided to skip that step. I assumed a big electronic company like Phillips would have a solid product at this price. You know what they say about assuming...something about a donkey, it's a stupid American phrase. To lock the door, you need to place your hand over the key pad for a few seconds. First off, this is the least natural position for a hand/arm. The fingerprint reader and door frame get in the way of doing this in any comfortable way, but hey twisting your arm isn't that big of a deal I suppose, it just could have been designed better.I think in a perfect world, you cover all the buttons and it locks. In reality, typically it just starts pushing a bunch of random buttons and it takes about 5x as long to lock the door than if I just used the key.Since you are now pressing your hand against the door to get it to lock, it typically pushes the door in a bit and the lock doesn't align when it tries to lock, causing a lock failure. They were smart enough to have it announce when that happens. The fingerprint unlock works 90% of the time, which is pretty good. However I live in Seattle and it rains a lot. If your finger is wet and cold it doesn't seem to work as well, even after wiping your finger off. It has the key pad to type the code, so you can still get in luckily.

Works great as long as it’s dry outside.
Lock works great when the weather is dry outside. If it’s raining or your hands are wet, forget about getting in with your finger print without numerous attempts. Getting in with a code is also a challenge while it’s wet. This product needs some changes made to it before I’d recommend it to anyone.
