Victorian Dolls House: 3-Dimensional Carousel Hardcover – 1 Nov. 2011

I bought this for my daughters aged 8 and 9 for christmas along with the usborne slot together victorian house, my younger daughter preferred this one and plays with alot. This is more traditional than the usborne one and more realistic. I think my daughter likes the fact that you can open the book and it pops up into a doll house straight away ready to play with. She also loves to open it up and look at all the details in it and she loves to open and close the doors and look for all the little things hidden away. She now loves victorian things and wants a victorian themed bedroom and a collection of victorian dolls. I don't think I would give it to a child much younger than 8years old because it is very delicate and needs to be well looked after if you want it to last. I am now looking to buy others in this collection.

I was given a similar book recently from a friend and my little one loved it so much we bought this one to go with it. It's got such beautiful details! I'm not sure why there's not more of these, instead of all the cheap plastic houses. This is handy as it folds back up into a book for storage. It comes with multiple characters to play with as well. It opens into 4 separate sections and has 8 little rooms which is lovely for childrens imagination.. Very happy :)

Arrived promptly. Good size. Easily folds out to form 3d dolls house then can be folded back up and slipped on the bookcase. Separate card figures. For the price a very nice item. Grandchildren loved the details. Highly recommend.

This is a brilliant unique idea for those who are into dolls houses and/or victorian times. The details that have been put into each room are wonderful and eye catching. It's also great that it folds away to save space and can be easily transported around.

This is a really beautiful and detailed book, which made a fantastic present for a little girl. It actually opens out into a 3D dolls house with pop up furniture, and closes up into a book when you've finished playing. Everyone was fascinated when she opened this on Christmas morning.

Don't really write too many reviews but I'm so impressed with this book. The detail is magnificent. Seems sturdy and honestly its so lovely. I'm really happy with this purchase.

I gave this as a Christmas present to my little sister, and she loved it. It's a shame there are no photos of the inside here, as the inside is just beautiful, it's done very well, with lots of details. The print is of good quality. And you can tie the ends of the book together, so that it stands on it's own, 3 dimensionally, like a real dolls house. Yet it's compact like a book, when folded away. It really doesn't disappoint. Highly recommend as a gift to any little girl who likes to play with a dolls house. I think I paid about £20, and I think it's worth it.

Bought it second hand and can't find any faults. There's no text inside, just the dollhouse, which looks like a proper one when you open the book right up (you can then tie it so it stays open all the way). The details are wonderful and there are some loose bits you can place wherever you want (a rocking horse, woman, some books, etc)
