Worth it!
It’s durable, at a fair price point and fit my Belgian malinois perfectly, she weighs 48 lbs and I got her the medium. The purple I ordered was the perfect shade to match her purple leash that I had already bought for her from another company. This collar is perfect for the dogs that love to pull or wiggle their way out of a collar because the more they fight the tighter it gets without having to worry about your dog strangling themselves! This is the only brand leash or collar than my dog will ever wear again!

Best out!
My Pitt is very cleaver and gets out of most. The durability and the choke option doesn’t allow him to wiggle out. I purchased the color blue.

It is also the kind of collar they recommend in their adoption materials
When I fostered my chow chow in early April 2014, this was the kind of collar the rescue group had put on her. It is also the kind of collar they recommend in their adoption materials. So, when I adopted her in May 2014 I bought this collar for her. It's perfect for her.I like that the collar is adjustable so that she's never really choked by the collar. The collar tightens, but it only tightens until the square metal rings meet. This is different from most other choke collars that have nothing to stop them from choking as tightly as possible. This is a far more humane collar. My dog doesn't really pull on walks except when she smells something really exciting and she heels really well. I like that the collar is loose on her neck most of the time. I think it keeps her more relaxed on our walks. In fact, when I give her the slightest direction on the lead, she feels it and follows along. I have as much control over her movements as I do with a horse using its reins, and just as subtly. You wouldn't think that with a looser collar this would be true, but it is. Of course, all dogs are different.Another thing that makes this collar perfect for me and my dog is that I can use the loop as a short "handle" to help direct her when we're inside. She's totally blind, and she sometimes finds herself in a corner and can't find her way out. I only have to grab the loop and gently direct her in the right direction. Very helpful!I've hung her tags from one of the square metal rings. They're just fine there. In fact, better than fine. Since she's a chow, she has long hair. The tags are noticeable because they hang longer than they would on a tighter fitting collar. If she ever gets out of the house unattended, someone will be able to see all her information. I like that.Speaking of her hair, the collar doesn't seem to rub or break her hair off. I don't know if this is due to the material the collar is made of, or the fact that it's an inch wide, but I'm grateful. She's only worn this particular collar for 3 months now, but it's held up well. We've been caught in a rainstorm, and it dried out overnight. I've hand washed it in the sink with Dawn dishwashing liquid, and it looks like new. And with the matching lead, she looks like a princess! When this collar wears out, I'll replace it with another one just like it. Five stars.

Got the used one
I ordered the used one because of price was cheaper and some of the reviews said that the size was off for what u needed.. I’m not complaining at all but I got the used one and one that had a tag like brand new. So if I only got the used one what the reviews say are correct the the collar was big and I have a black lab. I originally got it for my pitbull and it was big on him as well . The part that comes together is loose when not using and just hangs weirdly. It really needs something to lock it place some how .. It was so loose on my pitbull that I’m afraid it will come off his neck even with the part that’s supposed to come up and come against his neck. With that being said the collar that came with the tag fits my pitbull better and seems to do what I needed it for. So I’m worried that overtime It will get loose and will do what the used collar is doing .

The only collar that can save your dogs life.
These collars save dogs lives. I was walking down a on leash trail with my dogs when an off leash dog walking with its owner decided to attack my dog right at the last moment as we were passing by no indication no warning. With my reflexes I pulled my dog up (ouch a little for my dog) this tightened up on her neck and pulled her up into my arms and out of the other dogs reach so she only had a lot of slobber on her side instead of a bite. Her neck was fine not tweaked or weird or bruised or anything after this event I watched her for weeks to make sure. I truly believe that if I had a buckle collar on she would have slipped out of it and would have gotten a bad bite from the aggressive dog. My dog also has a walking harness and she can slip out of that if I pull up on it (simulating the dog attack) we've tested it to see which is more safe for her and walks and the collar wins every time.I volunteer at a shelter and we use these to walk our dogs in the only field walking space we have next to a very busy road and they truly save dogs lives by preventing all dogs from being able to slip a normal buckle collar. We use these for our tiniest chi to our larges pit-bulls and each one is safe. We do not use these as choke walking training collars we use either EZwalks or Gentile leaders in addition to these for walking behavior. These are very safe durable lovely collars for walking I highly recommend these collars they're gentle they don't choke because they only tighten around the neck if the dog is trying to pull or slip out. They get tight around the neck so the dog's head cant slip through and everybody is safe unharmed and happy. Please be aware you should never use this collar if you plan on sending your dog to a doggy day camp or other place where you have unsupervised play with random dogs get a cheap buckle collar for that and this for your walks. The D ring that pulls the neck can get grabbed by other dogs and cause your dog to choke and if it's too tight they can loose air. Only use these collars when you are walking and are close by in play groups where you can get involved to prevent collar biting and pulling during play. I do not leave these collars on my dogs when they are in the home I use them exclusively for walking the park and when im out and about and can supervise my dogs play and stop collar biting.
