great shears to recommend
It’s really sharp. Whether it is a flowerpot, a branch or a bush, great shears to recommend. Normally dead branches are not easily to deal with, but this pruner cuts well. I randomly pick up soft paper on desk and it makes a nice cut. of course i know this pruner is not design to cut soft paper; However, I found this is quite interesting to share.

I really like this pruner
I really like this pruner. We use it to prune the tangerine trees in the yard and it works very well. The blades are sharp. The design of handle is ergonomic, and even a girl like me can easily use it.

pretty good all and all but the grips are just painted metal.

Love it!
Love the small amount of strength required to cut stems. Great tool!

Handles open too wide and no knurling or rubber on the handles to help with grip.
A few negative issues for me.There is no knurling or rubber on the handles to prevent your hand from slipping off the handles. The one handle is designed in a way that also does not prevent slipping. The palm handle is curved inward. The handles could have also have been designed closer. When you have the shears open, the handles are far apart. I have medium size hands and had to use two hands to close the gap. Small hands would have even more difficulty with holding and using these shears than I had. They were adequate in pruning my Lilac bush, but it was a PITA using them due to the lack of grip, and the distance between the handles when open.

Fantastic SHARP pruners, but keep out of reach of children
I had some good quality Fiskar brand pruners, but they were getting dull, so I ordered these pruners, hoping they were of good quality. Boy, am I impressed! This brand is made in Taiwan and these pruners are super, super sharp. In fact, I plan to put them out of reach when my grandsons come over because they could easily lop off a finger if a child was carrying them with the blade open and fell. They are wonderful for cutting things in the yard.I find that the maximum size plant or branch for cutting comfortably is about a half an inch across. So I had a tree springing up in my flower bed, and I was able to cut it, but I couldn’t cut the lower part which was more like 3/4 of an inch thick. But this sharp set of pruners should tackle anything up to half inch across. It will help me keep my garden much neater. I highly recommend these pruners and rate them five stars.

My new favorite pruning shears!
Wow, I love these pruning shears! I wasn't expecting it to be this good. It feels like one of those tools that will last forever with the metal handles. The handles have a coating that feels like a metal powder coating which gives them a nice comfortable texture. What I like the best is the way that the blade releases to open up: simply squeeze the handle and it pushes the spring a little bit more and unlocks and opens. Then push the metal button forward on the top to lock it closed. It is a wonderful design. This one cuts everything from small stems to decent size tree branches. Very versatile! This is Made in Taiwan.I am going to look into what other garden tools HOKAS makes because this one is so nice.

These pruners are comfortable to use
These pruners are comfortable to use. They fit my hand well and I haven't had any problem chomping through some fairly thick limbs. They arrived sharp and should be easy to sharpen after extended use.I do worry about the spring, though. It's probably strong enough for years worth of work, but I won't know for a long time.
