These have a more numbing spicy taste, with a slighty fermented, slightly fishy, and sweet flavor. The texture is exactly what you'd imagine, it's like a lovely chewy, dense, and bready sponge texture. The smell can be overwhelming once you open a package, but the packages contain only a few bite sized pieces so you don't have to keep them around for very long. The price is alright for these if you're just looking to try a variety of flavors and styles.

Comes in a gift box but presents as a gift basket. There a variety of taste to choose from and it a great snack pack to share with friends or as a quick snack during your travel or work days.

Love the thicker and meatier texture to this one! It was a lot sweeter than I was expecting BUT the spice came through after and helped balance it out. While I don't prefer it this sweet, I do like the punch of spice in this one. I would definitely order this again! Overall, if you've never tried latiao and you're seeing this review because you're curious I'd say to give it a try! Texture wise, it's kind of spongy and chewy. It is greasy because it's spices and oil flavoring it. If you don't mind any of that, this becomes an incredibly addicting snack! I'm forever hooked.
