Simple to fit, High Quality and works a treat!
The gears in my drill chuck had failed, and this is much cheaper than replacing the whole drill.Although there's no instructions included, there are many you-tube videos showing how to replace them. Its a doddle. Open the chuck wide and unscrew the Torx screw inside. This is a reverse thread screw, turn clockwise to unscrew. Once removed clamp a large allen key into the chuck and give the end of the allen key a sharp tap with a hammer anti-clockwise, the chuck then unscrews.Reverse to replace (Apart from the hammer, just hand-tighten it with the Allen key) and your good to go!Good as new.Very happy, and much cheaper and more environmentally friendly than replacing the whole drill!

Gave my drill a new lease of life!
My Dewalt DCD769 suffered from a slipping chuck for some time. I researched how to replace it a while ago, and the recommended procedure required disasembling most of the drill, which looks complicated and time consuming. I decided to research again and found another way to remove the chuck (on Utube) by levering the chuck out of the gearbox., which I managed to do quite easily. This new chuck fitted perfectly and is working better than the original ever did.Bottom line Is, I am very pleased to have saved what is a perfectly good drill for not a lot of expense.

It fits!
For anyone else who has a Dewalt DC725 cordless drill with a keyless chuck that has broken, and is frustrated that Dewalt customer service chooses to list the drill as obsolete without helping identify a replacement chuck - this one fits. Presumably Dewalt find it in their interest to nudge you into buying a whole new drill (or in my case two). The missing star reflects this. The cheap and cheerful Draper strap wrench I bought got the stuck drill bit out in a couple of seconds. From then on you have to get pretty determined to get the old chuck off. But once done, a very satisfying job. Seems like a quality chuck so I bought another one for the other drill.

It is was what I ordered
Like that it was the correct chuck and fit the drill - (U-tube supplied 'How to Fit') may be it would be a good to add this as instructions. In all every thing turned out fine

Excellent Quality - Fittedin Minutes to my Ryobi
Needed a replacement chuck for my 12 year old Ryobi drill. Had this fitted in a couple of minutes and works a treat. Slightly heavier, but far more robust and a breeze to swap, if you remember the screw tightens in the opposite direction to normal.

Cordless drill chuck
Chuck is ok but keeps opening by itself when in use so not great!

Dewalt keyless chuck
Well made chuck, good locking system on it when you place a woodbit etc into the Jaws, would not buy any other make when it comes to reliability
