The solar panel up and down only but the light itself moves round enabling it to be adjusted accordingly!

Can i turn dim light off as it is wasteing the life of the lighy during the night and cuts out

Hi, as far as I know No. Never had a problem with the light. Ensure the solar panel is facing the sun during the day and it should have enough charge for the night.
