Why did you pick this product vs others?:I bought 2 5 packs of these bad boys after having a leak in our utility room. I placed them under every water point in our home- sinks, utility room, behind fridge, laundry room, etc. You get the point. These things are cheap and they are LOUD. i would say they are the same volume as a smoke detector going off. happy to report that they have been tested multiple times and function as they are supposed to!

I threw water on it to make sure it works and it does. The sound is super loud and hurt my ears because I couldn't shut it off. Lol. It detects water dripping in it and when the little legs get wet. I bought 10 if these and I underestimated how many I needed. I needed 1 more behind the dishwasher but didn't have. Wish me luck.

These are great. It saved us. it went off right away when our bathroom faucet started leaking. It went off at 1am if we didn’t have the alarm it would have ran until we woke up and probably flooded the bathroom. It was a good leak.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Only after a recent Water leak disaster that cost me a lot of time and material repair cost did I discover that these simple leak detectors existed. I live in a Coop complex and I am informing all my neighbors about these inexpensive leak detectors, posting info about them in our Community Laundry room. Not only would these of alerted me earlier, being I was home when my water mess started, I know of other neighbors where I live have had passed leak events these detectors would of saved them from a lot of water damage. The only Con of these detectors, is that I wish they were designed with a few Alarm volume settings instead of just one. In some circumstances I can see where you might not want the Alarm to be so loud, where you have to be creative and make a custom modification to them to fix that.

If you have your washing machine located anywhere but your basement, these are a must. My Washer had a water leak that damaged the hardwood floor. Wish I had been advised of these sensors before. I tested them and they do send out a loud alarm. It says the alarm will sound for approx 24hrs. So if you are gone for an extended period, best to turn off the water to your washer, especially if it's an older one. In the meantime, buy these sensors.

Perfect alarm to prevent costly and inconvenient repairs and clean up. We’ve had it ‘go off’ for very little leakage and helped us quickly and efficiently repair our dishwasher.We also put under kitchen sink, a common place for leaks you don’t see until it’s a huge problem.

We purchased the water detectors after we had a leaking pipe under the bathroom sink. Highly recommend this product. The detectors are now in our kitchen and bathrooms.
