First, I feel like I have to state how I use the pillow and why I use the pillow. I quite often wake up with neck pain and a headache or if I don't wake up with the headache the neck pain will still eventually lead to a headache during the day. I saw reviews for this pillow and other pillows similar, very similar actually, but that cost more. My daughter has the same issue and I offered to buy her one of the more expensive pillows for her neck to see if it helped. Instead she asked me for this one. I'm not sure why she picked this one but (likely because she wanted to save me money) I bought her the pillow on the condition that she told me if it helped her neck pain. After she received it. I asked her at least once a week for 2 months if it was helping and it had been. So that led me to purchase my own. The way I use it is what I was a little more concerned with because I also have a wedge pillow that raises my upper body up when I'm asleep to help with snoring and also congestion due to allergies. The combination of these two pillows has been amazing! Both are firm but soft at the same time, which I realize doesn't seem possible, but it's almost like sleeping in a cloud to a point, but there's still enough firmness that I don't feel like I'm suffocating in soft fluffiness. Long story short, I haven't had a headache or a neck ache since I bought this for myself. For those that do still have issues with neck pain, the only thing I could think of that would cause that would be if you're using the wrong side of the pillow and it's too high or too low for you, or possibly that you have worse neck issues or different neck issues than I do that are causing the pain.The pillow feels soft and luxurious. I don't know. I just like the way it feels. Sometimes things just click. The only thing I would recommend is I bought a regular satin pillowcase that's big enough to fit the pillow just because I feel weird getting the actual cover of the pillow dirty or sleeping on it.

I'm a side sleeper, and I found this pillow incredibly comfortable. I don't know that I got any use out of the arm rests, but I loved the height and the dip in the middle for my ear. I also loved that you could turn it any number of ways to use a different edge along your neck. Unfortunately, after two months I looked back and realized I'd had a major increase in headaches, and the only thing I could think of that changed was that I started using this pillow. I went back to my old pillow, and I haven't had a major headache in the two weeks sense. I don't know what the issue was. The pillow smelled fine and appeared clean and new.One thing to note: All of the pillowcases made for pillows like this appear to be ill-fitting, and they all seem to be made of cheap imitation satin. I recommend getting a queen-sized pillowcase with a zipper instead. It won't fit the contours of this pillow perfectly, but the zipper will keep it from coming off at night, which was my only complaint before the headaches began.

Seriously this pillow smells terrible. I even tried leaving it out on a table for a week, I tried fabreeze, and it still smells terrible. It has a weird chemical smell to it and it doesn’t go away. That smell will transfer to you if you use this pillow.Also not as big of an issue, it is too small, I am 6’ tall and it doesn’t cradle my neck correctly. But honestly that is a secondary issue compared to how bad this thing smells. I unfortunately forgot to return it before my return window ended.
