Bought several. Always works well

This one works! I bought this to replace a double bell system, that I bought to replace our faulty doorbell. Fortunately this one worked as soon as it was out of the box. It requires 3 AA batteries, not supplied, and comes with a button battery for the bell push. Husband has kindly installed on the wall (its black and silver and ugly) but we’ll have to repaint that patch of wall. The Bell push isnt ideal for us, it supposed to be sited horizontally, with a name in it, and we have ours vertically with no name. Perhaps I’ll print a sliver of a pattern to add into it. Again the bell design isnt what I wanted, I really wanted a brass effect bell ( these are just not readily available ) and this is pale silver and white, even plain white and traditional would have been better. However I shouldnt complain, as at least this bell works. It has tunes, but we arent really interested in those, we just want a ding dong sound. And you can also alter the volume if you slip off the front cover. You need a small Philips cross head screwdriver and biro pen point, to put the battery in the push, and there is a clip to make the ringer wall mountable. I’d have preferred an all white unit, but I also wanted a very competitive (cheap) price tag too. Im happy this works, although how long three double AA’s last, as opposed to our 4 C batteries (in the old set) only time will tell. Took a good bit of sticky stuff remover to clean the old pad off the door frame, to attach the new sticky pad, the unit comes supplied with screws to fix it, and wire if you want to replace a wired bell (we didnt)

Worked great for a month and now it either stops ringing or rings randomly. Seems to be something to do with the connections inside the button... annoyingly I threw away the box so that’s $18 wasted!
