I bought these to use with my Garmin R10 launch monitor. The monitor is radar based, and these balls are specifically made to work with radar based monitors. The accuracy in data and ball dynamics is greatly increased with these balls (as opposed to using a non-radar specific golf ball). If you own an R10 (or any radar based launch monitor), the Pro V1 RCT balls are a must. Of course, no launch monitor is 100% accurate all of the time, but the RCT balls coupled with the R10 deliver very useful data.

Perfect for dialing in spin numbers
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this product because I use a golf simulator, and I was hoping that the simulator would read the spin, launch angle, and other aspects of the golf shop, more accurately than a normal golf ball.Performance:I have compared the Titleist Pro V1 to the Titleist Pro V1 RCT and my simulator does seem to give slightly more accurate readings with the RCT ball than the regular ball. Depending on what model of simulator you were using, it is not absolutely necessary to have an RCT golf ball however. If you don't want to spend the extra money to get an RCT, you're not missing out on much unless you are a pro level golfer with a high end launch monitor that is preparing for tournament play. If you are an average golfer with a launch monitor and want to work on certain shot shapes, spin numbers, or launch angles, etc. then it's probably worth spending a few extra dollars on these golf balls.

Maybe NOT Necessary
I am using a Garmin Approach R10 and did not see any difference in the data from the NON-RCT balls I was using prior. I will update should something else arise.

Makes the Garmin R10 Much More Accurate
Using the RCTs with a Garmin R10. They totally improve the accuracy and functionality. It's amazing how one product and improve another.

Purchased for launch monitor.
High quality golf ball. Just doesn’t make a difference in how accurate the launch monitor tracks shots. I get same readings from regular golf balls.

ProV1 RCT balls for launch monitors
RCT balls are great for radar based launch monitors. I don't usually needs a dozen at a time so this option of buying them as sleeves for the same price is great option/value for the money. Quality is just the best bal on the market! Little white colored carry the distance, ProV1 baby!
