Love - no more manual work for me!
So I'm not an avid fisher. BUT, I love to fish for panfish. When I do it's to restock my fridge, freezer and belly. I went out a couple weeks ago and caught 22 (bluegill, crapi and perch). When it comes time to cleaning and filleting, it's not as fun as the fishing portion. For over 30 years I've trusted my craft and have chosen to always fillet with a fillet knife. NOT ANY MORE!!! For the win :) This is a great device, easy to clean and does the job in a fraction of the time. You will still need to use a regular rib knife to remove the rib sections from the fillets, but this is a total time saver. If there is any bad reviews, it's because the user didn't know how to fillet in the first place.

Works great
Ordered from Amazon for a really good price-got it in just one day which really impressed me. I used it for the first time today to clean 16 medium/small blue-gill, crappie and yellow perch. VERY impressed how much faster I can filet even the smaller fish compared to using just a regular filet knife (sharp Rapala). My wife and I love eating blue-gill and crappie with the skin on so she scales them while I filet. You make the first cut behind the gills down to the back-bone, angle the blade flat and follow the back-bone all the way to the tail cutting right thru the ribs and off at the tail. Now take your electric knife and just go to the ribs left on the filet and "flick" them out and your left with a perfect bone-less (skin-on) filet. My wife was "almost" a little upset with me when I first used the electric knife as I could now filet Faster than she can scale them! My ONLY reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is after filleting the 16 fish it smelled "hot" and even felt fairly warm in my hand from running it that short time-hoping it's just because it was brand new and just "breaking in) (??) Has a 2 year warranty so if it's defective I'll have time to figure it out.If you clean a lot of fish and have never thought of using an electric filet knife for cleaning your fish give this a try-you won't be sorry you did.

Excellent fillet knife.
I have had this brand before, and it lasted years. It finally needed to be replaced, and I did not hesitate to get another one. It cuts my crappie fillets with ease. I am very satisified with this electric knife for the price.

Great product, better than the $$boys
This is my second. I research and asked my big fisherman and he and I agree, this works as good and the expensive ones and is cheep and easy to replace. The last one cut great, but started to hiccup on me a bit. I keep it outside in a dock box year round, so I am to blame for the weathering. I'm in the midwest with high humidity.I'll buy a 3rd when its time for another. Thanks

Corded Filet knife
A friend of ours allowed my husband to use theirs and it broke, I’m not sure how long they had it but we purchased them a new one to replace the broken one. I will be purchasing my husband the cordless one since he really likes it and filets fish quickly and with ease with this knife:
