Excellent product and easy to use!
This is the first cookie press that I have ever owned so I can not compare it to others but I can list why I liked it so much:• It is well made! Metal and isn’t flimsy. Quality made!• It is easy to clean. Smooth edges on the tube, the handles, the press disks and everything else the dough comes i to contact was smooth and made for easy, quick, hand washing.• I bought the blue and it is a gorgeous color. Doesn’t hurt to enjoy looking at the items you’re using in the kitchen, right? Makes it fun when baking.• I followed tips on Pinterest to chill your cookie sheets, don’t use parchment paper, and to make a fairly firm dough.• The recipe for a basic butter cookie dough in the booklet that comes with it was good tasting and enjoyable. Though I must admit again, I used a recipe I found on Pinterest as a go-to recipe as well as experimenting with my own recipes (shown in images is a custom made pumpkin-spice recipe that was hit with all of my family on Thanksgiving).• I loved the variety of disks that it came with, too. Something for holidays and for every-days, and with experimenting some could be used for almost every holiday. Plus you can make cookies of almost every shape from round, to oblong, to fancy flowers, trees, and stars.All-in-all this product has exceeded my expectations as to what it was going to be. It is a quality made product and I am very happy with my purchase!

Lots of fun making cookies with the Marcato cookie press
It was a bit of a splurge but well worth it. The Marcato biscuit maker is very high quality, easy to use, and lots of fun to make old fashioned press cookies. It works with all the old recipes that once were ubiquitous with the old Mirro cooky maker that I remember from my childhood. I also like that it has an adjustment for 2 different sizes, large & small. I also like that it's a lever instead of a trigger like on other presses. The black thing that comes with the press extends the lever to make it very easy to press the cookies. There's a large selection of cookie shapes too.

Well made
All-metal construction and sturdy. I’ve been making spritz cookies for 35 years. When my electric press cookie maker finally died after all that time I tried finding a replacement. Everything I tried was flimsy and/or broke when using (made out of mostly plastic). This press was easy to use and made nice cookies. The only complaint was that the disc for the Christmas tree made weird-looking trees. I won’t use that one again.

Highly recommend!!
I was bit dubious, having had 4 presses for spritz cookies over the years, of ever descending quality. This one is so above and beyond, I'm sorry I didn't find it years ago! All aluminum, except for the plunger head (not sure why). The various dies for the cookie shapes seem sturdier than almost all that I had before. The box even had photos of what each die looked like as a cookie. Definitely a keeper, and a great gift if you know someone that makes spritz cookies.

Well made and easy to use, but pricey.
It was time for a replacement cookie press so I did some research. Marcato came up near the top of all the reviews (and prices!). I was tending towards a different less expensive brand when an extremely good cyber Monday offer popped up.I did a test batch using my old faithful spritz cookie recipe rather than the one in the video and manual. I'd say it was a success. I did follow the manufacturer's suggestion to chill the cookie sheets (on the cold back porch since my fridge isn't wide enough for my cookie sheets).Pros: Easy to use. I roll the dough into a cylinder and insert it into the barrel. The plastic handle extension is sturdy, feels comfortable in the hand, and provides more leverage. There are two size choices for each click of the handle and the cookies were well formed. It was also easy to make extended sections of dough for the wreaths. Reviews say this press accommodates the heavier dough for cheese straws, but I haven't tried that yet.Except for the handle extension and pressing disc, the press is entirely made of metal as are the cookie dies.Cleaning is pretty easy (hand wash only) as very little dough remains in the cylinder. However, some dough does get stuck in the grooves on the back side of the pressing plate which can be a bit fiddly to clean.Cons: The hefty price if you don't get a discount. Also, be careful not to drop as the leading edge can dent on a hard surface.Bottom line: I'm happy I hit the buy button.

Beautiful cookies/biscuits and simple to make
We bought this recently so we could make Christmas cookies/biscuits since my 25 year old press gave its life.Made a nice sugar cookie recipe and followed the directions on the press. Make sure dough is at room temperature. The first time using it they came out little funny looking so put them back into the dough, reloaded the press and away we went. They turned out amazing. We only did the large size. Next time will add some small size. We are so happy with this press and highly recommend it.Was so easy to use, cookies/ biscuits came out uniform size. Clean up afterwards was very easy also. Wished we hadn’t waited so long to get this. Makes baking fun.
