ARTISAN PROCESS: First black and white clay are mixed and hand molded and left to dry for a week; Then is firing it for the first time at 1.925 ºF, after it is covered with a layer of enamel; Then it is painted using thin brushes and mineral paint, finally it undergoes firing for a second time at 1,562 ºF which turns the enamel into glass and gives the piece an exquisite bright glossy shine and smooth texture; All of this gives you a unique, delicate and high quality piece

Now Talavera has an International Denomination of Origin certificate. Therefore, it is not necessary to say "Talavera de Puebla". The world recognizes it as Talavera.
