The Best Floss You’ll Ever Try – Natural, Effective, and Eco-Friendly!
Gutology’s Natural Bamboo Floss is hands down the best floss I’ve ever used! It’s made with charcoal, candle tree wax, and mint oil, giving it a smooth, refreshing experience that cleans my teeth thoroughly while also helping with stain removal. I love that it’s plant-based and free of synthetic materials, making it a much healthier and eco-friendly option. The mint oil adds a nice, fresh touch without being overwhelming. The 30m roll is perfect for long-term use, and I feel great knowing I’m making a better choice for my oral health and the planet. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for an effective and sustainable floss!

Cute, but not as planet-friendly as using 12 flossers a year
What you see in their product listing photos is what you get. What a cute little product, smells of peppermint, the little bamboo carrier is very touchy feely, it makes you want to do your teeth enthusiastically! 30 metres = 30cm x approx 100 days use, 7p a day, that is value for money, considering no synthetics. It is black and has little fibres hanging off it, leaves a minty taste in your mouth afterwards for a while. Shame it came in a box - they could've wrapped it in a sleeve of paper with all the blurb on it instead, much greener... I like it, but not enough to swap from my Wisdom Flossers, I use one over and over until they fall apart, about one per month, so although they are plastic, I only use max 12 a year - very frugal. Swings and roundabouts with regards to the planet-friendliness of tape versus flossers .... Some people are fussy and think they have to use a fresh flosser every day, but, provided you give them a quick rinse and store them hygienically, you can use them over and over (just as you do your tooth brush...for three months!). Also I had a very nasty accident with floss tape years ago, cut straight through my gum, never healed properly is was so bad, whereas with a Wisdom flosser, I have control and never slip. Hubby uses tape every day, so he'll use this up. Price at time of this review was £7.

No complaints or issues
The media could not be loaded. It is a black piece of thin string that smells and tastes of mint. Everything is as expected and it works just like any other floss as far as I am aware (I use plastic “harp” shaped floss sticks so I'm not familiar with this type of string you need to wrap around your fingers).

Just when I'd given up on dental floss, this came along!
Not gonna lie, I've never really liked dental floss much, so when interdental brushes came on the scene, I switched away from using it. However, I've been thinking recently that, although they're good, they're not quite doing the business that floss did, so I was happy to be given the chance to try this Gutology product. Is it any different in its effects than any other floss you'll use? Not that you'd notice, and I remain unconvinced about Gutology's claims that it will remove stains from your teeth (I could be wrong, I will report back later), but the fact that it's an all-natural product is a major feel-good factor. I've been trying to reduce my chemical load for the good of my health... so this bamboo floss is great from that perspective, as well as for its environmental credentials. (I've been guilt-tripping about my use of plastic interdental brushes.)At first I was a bit weirded out by the fact that this floss is black. But, in actuality, this turned out to be what I really like about it because you can easily see the crud from between your teeth on it. Yes. I know. Ew. Sorry for being gross. But it's true! Also in its favour, I love just how minty it is. And the lovely little bamboo pot it comes in hands down makes it a winner for me.I note that other reviewers think it's too pricey. Hmmm. Not so sure about that. For a product this nice, all natural, and so nicely presented, I think 7 quid is just about doable, even if you're on a budget like me. I figure it will last a long time and it's for the good of my health, so I don't think I'd baulk at buying more.

Love this floss
I can be a bit lazy using dental floss - it's not the most enjoyable thing to use, especially the awful plastic kind. However this is such a great product that it has actually motivated me! It helps knowing the ingredients are natural, vegan, environmentally friendly and will break down naturally unlike the plastic tape from mainstream brands. The little bamboo pot it comes in is aesthetically really nice too. There are just a few simple ingredients: charcoal, candle tree wax (made from the candelilla plant), and mint essential oil - minimal and effective at creating a product the is perfect for cleaning between teeth with no nasties.I love the ethos behind the Gutology brand and their aim to help gut microbiome through their other products too. I'd definitely like to repurchase, but it is pricier than my typical dental floss - x3 more in fact.I understand that this product will considerably more to manufacture, yet I hope that in the future these eco friendly products will be more accessible and affordable to encourage people to switch for the sake of their own health and the earth.UPDATE: I left this in the bathroom and didn't use for a few days- now unfortunately the wooden container seems to have swelled up due to the moisture in the bathroom, making the lid IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I have a product I cannot get into which is really frustrating, and will have to be thrown away 😞 Something to bear in mind if storing somewhere there is high humidity like a bathroom that this may affect the wood.
