I bought this to put on the back of my DJI Mavic Mini. I liked having the proper orientation of red, green, and white on the Mini as would be normal on a real aircraft. I do quite a bit of drone flying at night, and having the proper colors makes it pretty easy to visually tell the orientation of the drone. That is really handy if it's dark enough that the camera is not really seeing much to use as a reference.The farthest that I have had my Mini at night with this light is almost 7,000 feet and it was still very visible to me.

I used this on my drone, more for me than to be in FAA compliance. I fly more at dusk than any other time, so having a light this bright on the front of the drone gives me a directional reference. I got one successful flight and after that the lite would show charged but last only 10 minute. I wrote the seller and in 5 minute, the seller messaged me back with a tracking number for a replacement light. Received the replacement in 2 days. The light works great. very, very bright! The cost to me is worth it for customer service like this.

This strobe is brighter than other, same size strobe lights. However it is not even in the same ball park as a Firehouse Technologies Arc 2 strobe lights. For the price I was expecting a little more I guess. The firehouse strobe is guaranteed to be seen for 3 miles (in the air), so I would think this one should be good for a mile or so.. I do like it, and I’m glad I bought it. But if I had to make the same purchase again I would choose the other companies light..Not many people utilize these things, they have a million uses.. Example I had no room for a tail light on my electric scooter’s tiny rear fender. Then I thought to buy a red one of these and there you go. Insta tail light. And it’s super bright and makes me feel safe knowing they definitely see me. Wether they want to or not, they see me!! I love that... On any bicycle, or kids riding toys definitely should have a front and rear strobe for safety. I could think of 100 uses for sure..I only knocked a star off because for $5 more you could get a Firehouse Technologies, Arc2 strobe light that’s far superior. It’s about 4 times as bright. Plus it will also slow blink or light on solid (3 modes).

Very bright they can be seen during day operations very light weight just an alaround must have for your drone or rc aircraft helps a great deal for your orientation of your aircraft

Simple to use and bright. Use it for day time running lights for my drone. Could easily use it for night time drone flying, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

This little thing looks like it is home made, but that's pretty common in the drone world and I don't hold it against it. It is easy to charge, maintains charge very adequately for normal sport drone use, and it is impressively bright for it's size and simplicity. However, It is VERY directional. From the side it is not impressive at all. So as long as you can orient it so that you are looking at the large rectangular face it is useful - otherwise .... not.

These are EXTREMELY BRIGHT....Warning don't look at the Unit while you are turning it on.......ITS Sooooooooooo Bright that you wont see any thing for at least 5 minutes !.....Yes i Would and Will Buy again.

The strobe is very bright. It mounted securely to the bottom of my Mavic Pro with just a small piece of velcro. Multiple flight and ground tests showed that the light is visible from the FAA required distance.
