All the features, no false alarms
I had a full house of new Kidde wired alarms that would not stop giving false alarms in the middle of the night. I threw them all out, replaced with these x-sense (6 smoke, 3 combo), and couldn't be happier. Firstly, no false alarms. The smoke units are nice and compact. Talking alarms state smoke location. The app lets me monitor the battery state and make sure all are connected. The hub allows IoT integration, in particular I use Home Assistant and can see all unit details. I also have a "smoke detector detector" unit for my burglar alarm (listens for the smoke alarms going off and calls the fire department), and these units are correctly detected.

Peace of mind that's intelligent and intuitive.
I went years with the weight of not having appropriate smoke detection on my shoulders. But, this system was a huge relief. This a top tier smart smoke detector system. It's easy to setup multiple units with the app. I can name each unit so I know where in the house they're detecting something. I can even run my own fire drill to test out the detectors and my family's preparedness to handle a situation. We've had a couple false alarms while cooking, BUT I love that I can step right into the app to silence when needed. I also get an app notification, google home notification, and email notification that an alarm is going off. I feel safer with this, but also feel like I have better control and confidence in the with xsense than I have with standard systems in the past and without the clunkiness I've seen in other smart alarms. Eventually I'll add a carbon monoxide detector in areas where gas/combustion are more likely. Overall I can't rate this system, and the peace of mind it provides, higher.

works well
Simple to install and setup with the app. So far everything looks great.

Easy Install, Easy Setup.
Great devices, set up is easy. The installation screw footprint is nuts but there you go.

Good value for what is provided and they just work
I really like this system. It is priced well and works very well. The room naming and voice function is really nice, but it doesn't forego the LOUD alarm, too, which some brands do. The app is easy to use, is stable and just does what it's designed to do. So far we've had no issues with these and tested them all thoroughly. The only complaint I have is that it is not intuitive in the app how to test the linkage. There should be a simpler way to test that linking is working fully other than running a "fire drill". It took some time to figure that out, because when you test an individual node, it doesn't activate the other alarms. That is the only real flaw I've found so far.Given the almost overkill requirements code places on you for placement of nodes these days, the days of minimal function and high price Kidde seems to be in love with are over. You don't have to spend a fortune to stay safe anymore.

Just Bad and Frustrating, not reliable
This review is being written after almost a year of struggling with the Xsence smoke detector system. It is without a doubt one of the most unreliable products I have purchased yet. The base station consistently losses connection to the Xsence online monitoring service, even though my router shows that is indeed connected and showing data traffic. After researching the issue it appears to be an ongoing issue with Xsence products and their "sensitive hardware". I have over 12 devices connected to a high-end router and NONE of them ever have an issues with my network setup. Even the low-end home security cameras on the same network stay connected without issue, all day, everyday. However, the Xsence drops off almost every other day, if not multiple times in the same afternoon, according to the app. What a horrible product. If you want a system that kind of works, and God forbid you have a fire while away from your house, it might notify you, if it's online at the time, than Xsence is the one for you.Why the developer can't make a more reliable, adaptable, and dependable product that is compatible no matter what router, ISP, or network settings you may have in place is baffling to me in this day and age. A couple $40 wifi security cameras work more reliably, heck even my cheap Roku is better with network connectivity, IF thats even the issue.I know what you're thinking, is the firmware up to date, did you try resetting the base station SEVERAL times, are any other devices having issues on my home network, is the base station literally sitting next to the router on the same shelf?Believe me, I've tried everything, and my conclusion is that the Xsence service is overloaded and unable to support all the consumers connected to it.To see what others are experiencing check Redit for yourself, then decide if you want to purchase some very expensive stand-alone smoke detectors, that are sometimes on-line. It will give you some peace of mind when it's working properly. But if you're looking for something more reliable, you may want to purchase something other than Xsence. If an Xsence rep reads this, I am not interested in any ADDITIONAL trouble shooting efforts, nor am I expecting a refund. Instead, how about dedicating that time to making a more functional product and a more reliable monitoring system.

Peace of Mind without playing marco polo with a dying battery
I put this in our house and placed detectors in bedrooms and hallways. I love that all detectors go off if one is activated. We can't hear the one in the basement if we are in our bedrooms to flights up. The app is easy to use and I like that it will let me know when the batteries are getting low. No more playing marco polo trying to find the one smoke detector that's beeping due to low battery. I am getting a second set for our family beach house. It's a rental as well so I appreciate the extra layer of safety for our guests.

Effective Smoke Detectors, Bridge, and Application
Had these for about one month. So far, so good. Easy to install and set up the app. We have dogs at home, so I prefer being notified if there is a smoke/detector issue. I got them on Prime Day for a discount and am glad I bought them!
