Thinborne Compatible with Pixel 9 Pro Fold Case, [600D Aramid Fiber] [Magnetic] [Ultra Thin] [Minimalist Style] [Carbon Fiber] - Version 2.0

I was skeptical when I ordered. I really wasn't in the market for a carbon fiber thing, but I did get a chance to try this out so I did. First off, I was actually impressed by the minimal case it comes in. Normally, I see boxes here are all minimal to be recycled, this one is too, but gives a more premium feel for what you are buying. This seems like carbon fiber and the threads in it are neat and nicely patterned. In my past life as a car modder, I dealt with carbon fiber a lot and this version is more of a matte textured feel than glossy, which are on cars that have overcoat or clearcoat to protect from the elements. This is not raw by any means, but is very soft to the touch and provide a nice grip to the phone. The cutouts are perfect and centered. There's even a cutout on top for the mmWave antenna, which, honestly I didn't know was there until the cutout showed me. The corners have a slit to for the case to form over the corners of the phone, which is normal for this type of thin case. It is very thin and lightweight. This will not protect your phone from a long drop, but it will protect it from basic bumps. Besides that, the look is very well done. There is no lip for the front of the phone, but that is why they send you two tempered glass screen protectors. These fit a bit better than my inexpensive glass I had on previously. I did try these out because I wasn't entirely happy with the existing ones. In test fitting them, I did see they were more aligned with the shape of the phone, but just shy a millimeter to the edges. I think they did this for case fitting. Which is fine, but it bugs me a bit that I can see the screen past the protector.The other thing is that the interior of the case is the same as the other side, soft but not felt. Otherwise, if you are looking for a very minimal case that feels nice get this. Very minimal branding. The camera bump on the back is well protected for this type of case. There is a bit of lip there to keep it protected. Keep in mind, this is a minimalistic case, so do not expect heft here. If you like thin cases, this is a winner here.

This is the FOURTH pixel 9 pro fold case I purchased, and finally I found one I love. The other 3 from various brands either didn't fit properly or turned this slick beautiful device into an ugly boxy brick. It's definitely minimal, but if makes the phone more comfortable to hold and less slippery which is great. There is also a lip around the smaller outer screen so there is a little protection there. When the phone is open there is no lip, the case is beautifully flush with the screen. Also, it's just a beautiful case that compliments and adds to the phone asthetics without taking anything away. I recommend adding a glass screen protector, it works really well with this case. Also, be careful with the little sticky bumpers meant to secure the case to the phone. While pulling off the plastic film they came right off and I didn't realize it right away. The case still works fine after adjusting and they send it with extra sticky bumpers (I don't know what to call them). Even though the price was really steep for a phone cover, I'm really happy with this purchase. I'll be looking here first for all my future phones.

UPDATE: after many attempts of reaching out to this company, I finally got my replacement in last night. I was just going to update this to a 4 star, but it seems they are a very small scale team so I will go ahead and give it a 5 star. The new case is a MUCH better fit than the previous one, Still not 100% perfect on the front screen one (like 95% perfect) but for it's thinness this is a sexy case.As for the Magsafe, I can confirm that it does indeed work as intended now. Granted this was not Thinborne's fault as much as Google changing the location last minute, but now that everything fits and works properly, I will give this a 5 star rating. Still VERY pricey for a case, but it's a good one at least.Version 1 was awful, the cuts did not allow for the case to close, it didn't fit, the magsafe was in the wrong spot, overall just not good.They said not to return it and they would send me a new version no later than 9/25 but I haven't not seen it yet and they have stopped communication.Ended up just having to just return it and reorder it I guess

Great feel, great looks. It is super thin which I appreciate, but it still feels like it will be protective, particularly when combined with the screen protector. Expensive but no regrets!Update - removing one star because the screen protector is bad. Scratches very easily compared to other screen protectors.
