Works perfectly very happy.

The device itself is no bigger than any USB wireless adapter and comes in a small box with a USB C converter cable and a manual.Updating the firmware wouldn't work from the car via my mobile when accessing the firmware page, it just wouldn't download the firmware. In the end, I put the dongle in a PC which has Wifi and Wired connection, and connected my PC wifi to the access point in the dongle, and I was able to update it that way with the PC downloading the update via my wired connection. This is very important, as the newer firmware has GPS passthrough from the Car to the phone which improves performance.Once setup, opening the car door and the phone screen appearing on the car dashboard is around 15 seconds, and often happens before I could get the seatbelt on and start the car. In fact the longest delay is the car head-unit doing it's own bootup.Phone call performance was very good, as is touch screen performance, seemed very fast.Music playback was fine, and I didn't notice any difference between wired & wireless performance.The Wi-fi itself in the dongle is Wifi 4 (n band) across 5ghz, so the bandwidth is good.Only tested with iphone on IOS 17.5, so can't vouch for Android performance.

Bought the USB-C version for a compatible vehicle and it worked well for a couple of days then wouldn't boot up on the car infotainment anymore. Read the manual which gave instructions on how to open the settings menu and perform a factory reset.Did that as per the instructions and it began to work fine again until I wanted to play songs on Apple Music. A song would start playing and the dongle would immediately disconnect from the car and phone. I contacted the after sales support and they very kindly sent me a replacement free of charge very quickly but it did exactly the same thing and doesn't work after just a couple of days use.Given up with it now.

The media could not be loaded. My work car did not have any entertainment besides the radio so I have decided to upgrade the system with this carplay which allows me to connect my car system to my phone without having a lot of cables in the car.This device is small, compact and efficient and allows me to connect the phone each time my phone to my car without any hustle.The installation process is very simple, just connecting to the usb port and connecting my phone to the car through Bluetooth.It is great to listen to music as I drive for hours on the road and I also use it for navigation instead of using the phone every time. This is very convenient also for my phone as I can keep it in my pocket and save the battery for longer.Another practical addition of this carplay is the opportunity to receive notifications directly from my phone and also update the carplay using online updates staying compatible with my phone at all times.

Sunweyer wireless carplay and android auto adapter.This was on sale for £74.99 when I got it. I’d been looking at one of these wireless adapters since I got my phone, but couldn’t justify spending around £100.I’ve plugged this into my car - 2021 Citroen Spacetourer - and followed the instructions. Connected my phone as it said and it worked. My android auto screen came up on the radio display like it does when I plug it in with the cable. The reason I’m not keen on plugging it in all the time is that it’s charging the battery and I didn’t want to do that all the time. Anyway, so it worked. Went in the house, tried it next time I went out in the car and it didn’t work. Tried it the next time and it worked, connected automatically and put Waze (satellite navigation up on the screen) and was fine. Driving along and then noticed that somewhere along the road Waze wasn’t working. It had just froze. Now Waze works perfectly on my phone, I’ve never had it freeze on me. Got to my destination, was out of the car for 5 minutes, got back in, it started up again, and then froze after a minute or two driving.I’m not saying it doesn’t work, it plays my music and allows me to control my phone, and sometimes my car won’t connect with a wire to my phone with android auto for some reason.When the wireless adapter worked it was great, but I’d want it to work all the time, last thing I’d need is it freezing whilst driving, especially somewhere I don’t know and being left without sat nav. Might be my car, might be my phone - Honor Magic Pro 4, but I don’t know for sure.

I previously purchased a Motorola android auto adaptor for my MG and it was awful, it just kept losing it's signal or it would not connect via bluetooth and the fact that i'd paid of £60.00 for it really hurt, I'd paid top whack for a named brand, never again.The Sunweyer Android Auto adaptor has never given me an issue, my phone connects to it straight away, it's quite small so you cannot see it and the best part of all, there are no wires cluttering up the car.Great price, excellent quality, i would recommend this product.
