Great enclosure! There's a horribly small screw on the side that keeps it shut though so I don't recommend putting it back in once you have a drive inside. It just makes it a pain to get apart again. There's a hand screwable M.2 screw inside. Great for formatting disk drives when you want to pull them out of a machine and deal with them through USB.As usual UGreen didn't slack on the looks either, gotta love that aluminum, metal makes this a lot better.

Worked precisely the way it was intended too.It's so sleek, smooth and small. The price/value was great...about $15. It's so compact. I am very pleased with my purchase. Worked with my co.puter as it said it would. Never got hot or glitches and easy to use and Install. Came with a tiny screwdriver to open and close the unit.

works perfectly fine in my windows and macbooks. Can connect easily in my iphone and i can directly save my files from phone to my external drive. transferring of files is swift, it has sleek design and compatible with any laptops.

This enclosure has a lot of room for the SSD, which makes it easy to install and change SSDs. But the roominess is actually a bad quality.The enclosure came with a thicker than normal thermal pad. But though the pad is thicker, it still doesn't contact the outer aluminum shell, which is essential for cooling the SSD during use. In addition, the pad isn't long enough to cover the entire length of a 2280 SSD, as the 1st picture shows the controller chip not being covered by thermal pad. The second pic shows that the thermal pad isn't elevated enough to contact the outside shell.During my short testing, I noticed that the shell did not heat up like the previous enclosures I have used with this SSD. So I quickly stopped using this enclosure to keep my expensive SSD from being fried from the heat.My experience with these enclosures led me to look for ones with the Realtek RTL 9210 chipset for stability purposes. This enclosure was one of the few that I could find available on amazon with the Realtek chip but it will be going back when I find a better enclosure.
