I purchased this to block the sun from a small window that the sun was beating in and making the room so very hot. For such a small window I really wanted a pretty curtain, we had just tore our bathroom down to the studs and refinished it with subway tile and bead board, I wanted the room to keep nice look, a little fussy but not to fussy. This little curtain was what I was looking for. It blocks the sun from coming in so very nice. The bathroom is staying much cooler now with the little curtain up. My husband actually complained it was to dark with it up. Well with fall her now it will be coming down until next summer. I think I will miss it, it really was pretty and matched my shower curtain nicely.The mateial was thick, no loose strings, tight stitching. The backing is sewn very nice the stitching is very secure. I thought there were little beads or sequens on it but there are not, it is just a perfect little valance or curtain. As I said it really does block the sun nicely in my window, but my window is also very small so it is very bunched up, which is the way I like my curtains.

I bought 9 of these valence curtains for my kitchen,and hung them about a month ago. Used 3 valences per window. They are great: look expensive, drape well, hang on traditional rod style mounts. You must iron them before you hang them or they appear wrinkled and crumpled-this is normal and not a value breaker. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the length of each valence varies a little-by as much as a half an inch. Because my valences are slightly bunched, I can hide the edge of the shorter curtain under the longer curtain and you cannot see the difference. Yes I would buy these again! Love them!

Love these curtains

This valance is the perfect size and the perfect colors for what I needed! The off white and tan accents are really really pretty! I love the double layered look at the bottom too. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect touch to my kitchen and existing curtains. Only thing I'll say is that before putting it up I could tell that the sewing was off... The seam that the curtain rod goes through was definitely crooked and made it hard to put through on one end. For what I paid though I didn't expect top notch! But you would never ever be able to tell from just looking at the window. I'm really happy.

This is a nice accent in my dinning room. It is a good size for the windows I have. I like the pattern. It's not too busy or too plain. The fabric is a bit lighter than I thought, but overall, it does it's job. It blocks some light, but not all light. When you have big windows like mine, the room is filled with light. On days when you want to sleep in, or just mope around the house after a wild Saturday night, you want to block out some of that light so it is not so blinding.

I was looking for a simple design to put in the open space (kitchen/dining/living room) of our new house. These valances are perfect. I will say that I had to purchase more because they look better "scrunched". So if you think you need one..buy 2.Quality is good, but there were a few loose strings I had to cut off. All in all, I am happy with my purchase.

These look very nice up BUT the quality is not great. Loose strings everywhere and the top piece is not sewn to the bottom so hands down below where it should. Pressed it all back up and seems to be staying. Curtains have gotten so expensive and these were reasonably priced. I just needed something to dress up the windows a bit and these work for me. Have not washed them but don't think they will hold up too well. You get what you pay for.

As described by others, these valances are not very wide, not real great quality. I have standard sized windows, would prefer a fuller look, but they are OK. The rod pocket is odd in that it does not have any top stitching, so you don't have any "header" to speak of. Look closely at the pic and you will notice that. I put a standard rod in along with a 2" plastic filler/rod to fill the pocket. It looks OK, but I would prefer a bit of a header above the balance. Bottom line, these are not expensive valances, but they look decent, and they were perfect in color for what I wanted to coordinate with some bedding. I'm keeping them.
