Practice Test for the CogAT® Form 7 Level 13 (Grade 6*) Practice Test 1 Paperback – January 1, 2015

Bough this for a friend son. He did great on the test!

I found this book worth the $.

My daughter has been in gifted programs since 2nd grade. She’s entering middle school and i wanted her to keep up with studying over the summer. This is great practice and if she has to be re tested she will be prepared. I highly recommend.

If you are on the fence I would buy it. My daughter did not score well in 3rd grade cogat but scores in the 99th percentile for every other state test. These low cogat scores followed her until her latest cogat in 6th grade where she scored off the charts. We ordered this book to help her and it was very useful. Small price to pay for success. Only wish we had ordered it fir her first test.

Totally worth it. Yes, this is expensive, but the type of questions that get asked are so bizarre that if your kid hasn't ever thought of the concepts, they might just be confused and not properly evaluated. For example, 1 section of that test is devoted to what would it look like if you folded a piece of paper several different ways and then punch some holes in it and then unfolded it. I think that's worth a try ahead of time.

Questions in the book is pretty easy to follow. I got this for my daughter mainly because we have no clue to what to expect. I wish there were more questions to practice. My daughter pass the test and she is now officially in gifted program. She said the CogAT test is easy. Although, I will recommend to check out testingmom.com and do some other fun stuff....

Good questions and less mistakes

Quote from page 3 (how should this book be used?): "To answer the questions, we recommend that children use our CogAT Form 7 bubble test form (exclusively available on the Mercer Publishing website) to simulate the actual exam". If it is so important that kids practice using the correct form, why is said form not included in the practice book? The form is NOT available on the Mercer Publishing website for Amazon customers - per the publisher's customer service reply to my inquiry.I cannot comment on the content of the practice test yet, as my child has not yet taken the actual test. However, it does help to understand the kind of questions to expect on the test.
