A Fantastic Boost for My Pets’ Health—They’re Thriving!
I’ve been using Rx Vitamins Bio-C (4 oz) for my dog and cat, and I’m absolutely thrilled with the results! This vitamin C supplement, packed with lemon bioflavonoids, has been a superstar for immune support, allergy relief, and even joint health. It’s done wonders for their coats and skin too—my pets are looking and feeling their best, and I’m giving this a glowing five-star review! It’s so easy to use—just a quick sprinkle of this powder into their food, and they eat it right up without a fuss. My 12-year-old tabby cat was struggling with seasonal allergies—sneezing and itchy skin—but after a couple of weeks on Bio-C, her symptoms have calmed down, and her coat is softer than ever. My 8-year-old shepherd mix, who’s always been a little stiff in the mornings, seems more limber and playful now, which I chalk up to the joint support from the vitamin C. The added bioflavonoids are a bonus—they boost the antioxidant power and really seem to help with inflammation. The 4 oz bottle is a great size—lasts about two months for my duo with daily use—and I love that it’s vet-formulated and safe for both dogs and cats. It’s tasteless and odorless, so even my picky cat doesn’t bat an eye. I’ve noticed their energy levels are up too, and they just seem healthier overall. It’s such a relief to have a natural supplement that supports their immune systems and keeps them comfortable year-round!Pros:• Noticeable allergy relief and shinier coats in weeks• Easy to mix into food—no taste or smell to scare off picky pets• Boosts immunity and joint health for dogs and cats alike• Lemon bioflavonoids add extra antioxidant power• Long-lasting 4 oz bottle—great value for multi-pet homesCons:• Takes a little time (2-3 weeks) to see full effects—worth the wait though!• Powder can clump if not stored super dry (just shake it up)Rx Vitamins Bio-C is a five-star gem for pet parents! It’s an incredible all-in-one supplement that’s improved my dog and cat’s skin, joints, and overall wellness. If you’re looking for a safe, effective way to support your pets’ health, this is it—I can’t recommend it highly enough!

Your Dog Needs Vitamin C Now!
This review is for Rx Vitamins for PETS’ BIO-C, Vitamin C supplement for dogs.I decided to give my dog Vitamin C because her low protein illiness seemed to me to be a vitamin deficiency and Vitamin C and bioflavonoids are the only vitamins not in dog food or supplements. In February 2019 during a wellness visit I asked for routine blood work because my dog’s urine smelled so strong. Also she had soft stools. I don’t know why I didn’t ask for a urinalysis but I asked for a blood test. The Vet called me with the test results and there was nothing wrong with my dog’s kidneys or bladder. But shockingly, my dog was starving in plain sight. Malabsorption. Her tests showed low albumin, low protein. More testing and the low protein was worse. No treatment yet. I told the Vet that I wanted to rule-out the dreaded lymphangiectasia. More testing and PLE protein losing enteropathy was confirmed. But no treatment yet. I did “research” on the Internet. The only hopeful treatment was from a Wisconsin vet who recommended egg white protein. So I gave my dog hardboiled egg white. It passed thru undigested causing heartburn with belching and horrible bad breath. So then I fed my dog lightly poached egg whites. The protein levels went up 20%. But then my dog had the worse diarrhea she had ever had. And my dog had had a lot of diarrhea mostly soft stools, sometimes worse, ever since she was a puppy. Back then her Vet prescribed low dose compounded Metronidazole pills and even told me give her a pill instead of coming into the office. That is a standard treatment for diarrhea. The diarrhea always went away after 2-3 days. This vet also diagnosed my dog with stress diarrhea and gave my dog FortiFlora. We moved to a new town and the new Vet was not too keen on routine Rxs for diarrhea. I had to beg for medication for my dog. My requests were refused. My dog suffered soft stools and worse for months. For months I had to get up in the middle of the night and clean diarrhea off the carpet. By this time the diarrhea smelled atrocious, the worse odor ever. Meanwhile no treatment for low protein. So I decided to go to a Veterinarian Internal Medicine Specialist, a Vet IMS. But before I went to the 1st appointment, I started wondering if my Coton De Tulear was suffering from a vitamin deficiency. She had a few lesions that looked like bleeding under the skin. Could this be a form of scurvy? But mostly I decided upon Vit C because I never believed that dogs don’t need supplement for it. Apparently while dogs can make their own Vit C, they do not make bioflavonoids. So I ordered Rx Vitamins for PETS’ BIO-C. When I received it I added 1/4 of the standard dose to wet dog food. My dog turned up her nose. So I put it inside a treat. The scoop handle is too long for the bottle, I had to cut it off. Also I have a small white dog, very stressed, barking all the time. The organs in the body that enable animals to deal with stress are the adrenal glands. Most of the human body’s Vitamin C is in the adrenal glands. I got that bit of information from a blogger who writes about adrenals and the adrenal steroids. I jumped to the conclusion that’s it is the same for dogs’ bodies. In the Vet IMS office, my dog’s blood test could not detect any protein. The Vet IMS prescribed low dose Metronidazole, prednisone steroid and Ultamino prescription food. I continued with BIO- C. Within 24 hours my dog had NORMAL tootsie roll stools. Repeat: Within 24 hours my dog had normal tootsie roll stools. At the 2 week check my dog’s blood test results showed NORMAL albumin and NORMAL protein levels. We will confirm the great news in a month. The Vet IMS suspects IBD inflammatory bowel disease or IBS.Also I stopped using diarrhea medicines designed for dogs and cat sold in the pet store. My research revealed that they contain an ingredient that the FDA says is no longer fit for human consumption and can cause malabsorption in humans. Also I stopped giving my dog so much fiber so nothing competes with protein for absorption. So now I am planning a game plan with the Vet IMS, because dogs who suffered low protein can have future health consequences even after the protein level tests normal.

Works great!
Tl;dr—it worked! My dog had lingering rods and small stones after a UTI (urinary tract infection) and elevated pH, which left me with two choices. 1) putting her on a specialty urinary tract health food for the rest of her life, or 2) adding vitamin C to her diet for 30 days. I went with #2. I chose this brand because it's sodium ascorbate vs ascorbic acid—which is more bioavailable, along with being buffered and less acidic—meaning it's more palatable (not as sour tasting) and easier on the stomach. Also, this has flavonoids which compliment the action of the C.She happily ate it twice a day with no issues**. At her recheck, not only was her urinary pH back to normal, but there were no rods or stones! I'm more than happy to continue this supplementation going forward.** For those people saying their pet got diarrhea while taking this, that's the body's normal reaction to too much vitamin C. When the dose goes beyond "bowel tolerance"—in animals or people—that's what happens. Talk to your vet and lower the dose. The nice thing about C is that it's a water-soluble vitamin, meaning it doesn't build up in the body. What isn't used is flushed out in the urine.
