The front is black, the only thing chrome-like is the back part

Yes, I put one into my 1800ES while I sent the original clock for repairs. The cheap clock from Belarus fit the hole, had a noisy ticking while running but it got very quiet after 2 weeks, when it stopped working completely and blew the fuse in the Volvo. Not a good quality product.

Q: Will this fit a vw karmann ghia without modafication.?

Hi, Unfortunately, I do not know the sizes of the place of installation in VW Karmann Ghia. Please see in description a picture with the sizes of the clock body. But in any case, the clock works in ANY car that has 12V power supply, without modafication. I assume the VW Karmann Ghia also has 12V.
