Once I figured out how to “override” an issue they’re great!
I sadly had to replace my Bose sleep earbuds because they died and Bose doesn’t make them anymore, so after some exhaustive research I found that these were highly recommended…so I bought them. When I first got them I loved the fact that they came with several different sizes for the ear pieces to fit in my ear. I didn’t care for the sound choices as I felt they were limited and you can hear an audible loop, but I played around with it for a bit and found a combination that worked for me.The problem I kept running into over the first couple of weeks was that if I hit the side of them with my hand they would stop (a feature I think I remember reading, and somehow I figured out how to turn off that feature) OR after about an hour they would revert to one of it’s automatic rain sounds that I didn’t particularly care for because of that very audible loop. BUT I was able to find a work around that has worked amazingly ever since the first night I tried it! As long as I set the sleep timer (the max is 8hrs) my desired sound won’t stop and I can sleep mostly uninterrupted at night. (It still can’t help me with my dog kicking me at night, but at least it drowns out her snoring along with my husband’s!)

I like them
They fit comfortably. They do block outer noise well. It can automatically go into sleep mode when it notices you fell asleep watching something then it will play the sleep sound choice you pick. If you choose not to do that it will just play whatever you are watching or listening to instead. My only issues are the app is a bit irritating trying to figure out where to go. Individual sounds are under “static” instead of the button being names something that tells you there are multiple sounds to choose once pressed. They need to create an actual button to press for connecting once you put them on. Right now you click the small words “not connected” to make them connect. When you wake up they will say not connected again but they have been working all night. I sometimes have to place them back in the case and back in my ears to connect and have it sync how my sleep did. Wearing and connecting is the only way to access the toggle for sleep mode on and off, alarms, and controls. It would be nice to have this screen as an option across the bottom at all times. Sleep history tells you awake time, light sleep and deep sleep, how many times you woke up, how many times you turned, and what position you slept in by percentage. This comes to my other issue. It says I've slept “prone”, which is on your stomach, and i so not ever sleep on my stomach. So it is mistaking a side sleep for a prone position sometimes.Ive also reached out to them and asked them to have the sound section be more accessible for the visually impaired since my blind father would like to get some. Currently they sounds say “button” when he uses voiceover instead of rain or stream etc. The rest of the app is fairly accessible and the AI sound options will work with voiceover.

Three strikes and you’re out!
I’ve now had three sets of these. They start out great. Love the sound quality and they are snug and comfortable in my ears. Then, after a few nights of normal sleep, one or the other earbud just goes out. I can turn the volume all the way up and I can hear the music very slightly in one EarPod while the other is blasting away. There’s no fix for this so you just have to get another set. This means a couple of nights without them. It’s extremely frustrating. I wish I could just return them but now I’m stuck paying $16.95/mo for a new set of head phones every two weeks or so. Don’t waste your time with them. They are clearly not well made.

First week review update
I hardly ever write reviews but here is the rare exception. I work a rotating swing shift that has given me severe shift work sleep disorder.I've spent 20 years buying every crackpot hairbrained product to try to help me get a little sleep. My go to was acoustic sleep , a fine product about half the price as the A-20. The acoustic sleep has one fatal flaw, it has no passive noise reduction, you hear ambient noise that's louder than the device but that's due to its product design. I almost didn't give the A-20 a chance because I wanted active noise reduction...man am I glad I did. As a side sleeper these things are comfortable and don't fall out while I sleep, but the biggest draw is the combination of excellent passive noise reduction and whatever sounds you like to sleep to ( for me its rain) . They do an exceptional job of insulating me in the sounds of the thunderstorm , isolating me from the outside world.I have 3 college young men upstairs and they run across their apartment a lot, I cant hear them or most ambient sounds with my A-20s.( I guess when they throw a party that will be the big test) I haven't even explored the many features of the app, first nite I went simple with one of the loadable sounds ( thunderstorm) and I was amazed how well they worked...Im happy with that . They are a little pricey but after the first night I realized what a great value they are. (Customer service is fast also.)2nd week updated...you have to keep these buds clear/clean of earwax or they will not work. My left bud stopped working. I examined it to find a ear wax buildup on the mike/speaker on the inside of the bud. After cleaning all was well. Im still happy1 month update..I love them BUT they need cleaning every week. Its a reasonable tradeoff
