This is my second time ordering from Bulk Supplements. They give excellent value compared to tablets of the same substances offered by the multiplicity of supplement manufacturers. 1/4 teaspoon of this bulk powder gives over 800 mg of calcium lactate. I estimate at least 100 tsp in the 500 gram package I bought (so at least 400 servings).Compare that to a serving size of 3 tablets of NOW brand calcium lactate, which is a good value compared to other brands of tablets -- but those 3 tablets only give you 255 mg. I'll sacrifice the convenience of tablets for the great $$$ savings of this powder. I tried it this morning in my green juice; it dissolved well, no clumping. The other option is to put it into gel capsules, which is time consuming but I can fill a jam jar with capsules in a half hour. Just do it while watching TV or your favorite streaming radio program, and it's less annoying. Of course, then you have the expense of the gelatin capsules. I suppose you could also consume it directly off the spoon, but I'm not up for that just yet.

When I first mixed it into my coffee it left huge chunks of powder and I couldn’t get them to mix in, so I dumped it out and figured maybe it would mix better with something cold… Nope! I almost gave up on it, but I mixed it with a liquid IV and didn’t want to waste it. I was just going to drink from the top and leave the chunks on bottom but after maybe 10 minutes of it just sitting there and me stirring occasionally it was completely dissolved! All in all it is a great value for the cost and no noticeable flavor, although I always mix it with liquid IV.

After researching the benefits of calcium lactate I was thrilled to find it in powder form. I like not having to take a pill or capsule. According to research, we need calcium for not only our bones but also for blood vessels, heart health & muscles. Calcium lactate is more absorbable than the common forms of calcium from which I never had experienced noticeable results. My muscles are noticeably less tense & tight. In room temp water the fine white powder dissolves in about 2-3 minutes with a reasonable amount of stirring. No chalk taste, grit or odor. The company suggests taking it with food & I agree. I got a tummy ache drinking it on an empty stomach. The taste reminds me of flat seltzer water which most days I tolerate. Drink it with 8-10 oz of water or add juice once it's dissolve. It takes longer to dissolve directly in cold liquids. The packaging is a thick, resealable bag with a tight seal that will take a while to break in before it'll close with ease. If you don't mind the taste, it's a good product to add to your health regimen.

This may be good for health, but be forewarned, it is bitter.

This is a good price for quantity, but the taste is so difficult to accept and it just clumps up in water.

I use this with Bulk Supplements Magnesium Citrate to balance in my body. I also use the Bulk Supplements Potassium Citrate and Acetyl L Carnitine. Combined all together make my own electrolyte drink with the amounts of each mineral adjusted just for my needs. All Bulk Supplements are great products and I fully recommend them.
