Q: Bought these probably 10 months ago and the prong broke; how do I replace them? I loved them.

Q: Is it supposed to be covered in grease and a clear liquid substance???

Ours did NOT have any grease nor did it have any liquid on it. It did have a plastic cover over the cutting edges and was in it's own wallet like container. It is extremely sharp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Q: Does this have a mechanism to hold it closed, or is it always open?

The cuticle nipper has plastive cover, it can hold it closed and prevent to be hurted.

Q: Can the cutting blades be sharpened (by user) once dull?

These that I just ordered are very sharp, can’t imagine having to sharpen them. I think Revlon has a life time warranty
