A trustworthy product by a trustworthy name
First, here's an information we all should know.Drop Forging:is a process in which a metal is heated and hammered in to a specific die (cast) to produce a final product.INTRO:This pipe wrench by Stanley, like any other good wrench, is Drop Forged to make it as strong and durable as possible. As there are no joints in the final product, there won't be a "weak spot" like in the assembled products (in general terms). There are hardly 3 - 4 separate parts that hold the two main pieces of the wrench together; including the adjustment roller.LENGTH and WEIGHT:At nearly 1 ft in length and 821 g, its weight is reasonable for a good die cast pipe wrench.APPEARANCE:As seen in the advertised image above and in the images I've shared, the wrench's handle is painted (possibly spray paint) the usual Yellow color and some areas of the wrench appear shiny from the machining of the teeth in the jaw area and other flat areas. Not to worry about the black areas that appear to be rusty, as the appearance is normal with a die cast (it won't appear shiny unless machined).MY USAGE:I bought this wrench for two reasons:1) I had to remove an old, metal tap that had rusted around its thread and wouldn't un-thread any other way.2) I had no wrench and it is a necessity.I was able to successfully replace a faulty metal water tap using the wrench (not before I broke the old one).------------------------------------------------------CONCLUSION:There are a few things in which this product stands out when compared with many other brand wrenches:1) The jaw adjustment is smooth.2) The teeth on the jaw are well machined and they look like they will last longer even with regular usage.3) Its finishing is better than the wrenches I've used in the past.Whether it rusts soon or not and whether it is worth the money is something that I will keep an eye on, and then update the same here. What I mainly want to point out is that the Stanley products I've used are all made of good quality materials, and this one belongs to the same category.Hence, yes, I will suggest the product to anyone interested in buying a similar sized pipe wrench and who don't mind paying a little extra for the brand.

Used item received., be cautious from this seller
The corrugated box was opened, and the plastic cover inside was also opened on both sides. There is no oil on the product to prevent rust. It appears to be a used return item. I did not expect this from the reputable brand Stanley. So reducing 2 star. Good for DIY work. Longevity should be checked and will update it later.
