So using this thing at a gym on the treadmill isn't very practical due to the saliva buildup?

Steven, this is Bas, how are you doing? If you keep training with it the saliva build up will get less. Some people experience this, other experience a dry mouth (They will be good after a few weeks as well)But, we are coming out with a different mouthpiece since some people can't swallow with the o2trainer in their mouth, the new design will help with that. Also, we are coming out with new tests that will blow everybody away, really great things coming. For now I want you to do the same as what I do, take 30 deep breaths with the o2trainer on level 9 or 10. Sit dow, lean over, completely exhale (everything out) then explode with breathing in while you are sitting up (you can simply press the o2trainer against your mouth while doing this). Then go down again and exhale everything and repeat 29 times.This will take about 4 min. Do this for 6 weeks in the morning and evening, after 6 weeks one time a day will be fine. The result you get will be amazing, your core will get a huge workout as well, please try it out. I will come out soon with all the tests. Godspeed

What is the maximum resistance setting in cm H20 for the blue and the green product?

Both colors are identical in how they work. It's 1mm, I (I am Bas) have been doing it for 5 years straight, everyday, I use setting 1.5mm. Doing setting 1 the correct way, it extremely hard. I used to do it in 2:15m (30 repetitions) but then realized I wasn't completely inhaling and exhaling, so when I made my technique perfect, it took me over 6 min. Do NOT focus on getting to the smallest size, focus on technique, its much more effective doing it correctly. I know you just asked for the size, but I just wanna mention this because pretty much many tell me they do setting 1, which when done correctly, I find very hard to believe. Godspeed!

Does this fit children (ages 9-11?)

It's very young, I am sorry but you have task your doctor. I believe with supervision from a parent who makes sure they don't push too hard should be OK. But kids at that age are still developing, so please ask your Doctor. Tell him it's a device that controls the air intake, and that YOU can control the resistance, meaning, you would make sure they don't use lot of resistance. Thank you for your interest!

so is it 4 sets of 30 reps,4 sets of 12,or 30 reps for 4 mins? some please explain.

There are videos on the official website for it. There are two different exercises now. A different routine too. Now it's pick the attachment and when you can do 30 reps under 3 minutes you move to the next smaller attachment and continue like that. No more sets and your really need to go watch the videos.
