Best Hard Water Mineral Stain Remover
Best Hard Water Stain Remover, especially for shower doors. We purchased a 3/8" a clear glass shower door around 2011. Never new how to take care of it and instructions to do so never came with door purchased from HD. If your shower door is frosted or has decorative etchings, I would research this product thoroughly for your intended use by starting at the manufacturer's website before trying it. Hopefully, you can find some reviews here on Amazon as well. After about 2 yrs of use with unfiltered county water, the glass became noticeably stained by the hard water. My search for cleaner went on for about 2 yrs without any luck. I tried more than a dozen different purchased products from big box stores with big claims of being able to remove mineral deposits on glass. Nope, a lot of labor and no change. Then I thought there must be an expert on the web about how to remove the problem. Nope, nada, nothing worked. From lemon oil to vinegar to auto detailing websites. I even purchased crystal grains or something that was recommended for severe hard water deposits. I thought I could use my random orbital sander on. At that point I was getting desperate for a solution. Nope. Didn't work.My product search included Amazon, as all my product searches go. Again, none of the big claims products worked. I was about ready to give up, but then I happened to somehow type the right search words and found this Driven product. I think because i was ready to sacrifice some scratched to the glass if I could just get rid of the stains. I mean, you couldn't see through the glass at this point. That was 2015.The product recommended using the finest steel wool to help the product work. (more on this later) I was hesitant but desperate enough to try it. They have it on Amazon--0000 was the super finest I could find. So with applying the pasty product generously with with a paper towel and letting it sit for a few short minutes, I started working it in with the steel wool. It took about 3-4 applications, but eventually the stains began to disappear. I felt so relieved. I could actually see through the glass again and clearly without any evidence of scratching! Finally!I was so impressed with product and the recommended instructions and tips that I thought I would try it on my vehicle's front window that had the corners with stains from dirt and hard water. Stains came off! HOWEVER, when driving at night, now you can see where abrasive cleaners fail. Spider web highlights from headlights of approaching vehicles. Luckily, in my earlier search I still had a bottle of scratch remover that was recommended by an auto-detailing shop. The shop didn’t help with removing hard water stains but the scratch remover was pretty good. That helped to almost remove all the scratches. The vehicle is safe to drive at night again. But don't do this, even if the name has the word "driven" catching vehicle owner's attention and product labeling includes that it can be used as a vehicle glass stain remover, I would at least go to their website and research their guidance thoroughly for your intended use before you try it.So after it worked for the shower door, I started wondering maybe it was actually the steel wool that removed the hard water stains. NOPE! It's the combination of the two. The heavier your stain, the more applications of the steps you will need. It takes a lot of elbow grease to remove all of it. One large door took me about 6-8 applications over about 6 weeks! Yes, a lot of labor involved. After the first two or three applications, I could see improvement so it motivated me to keep it up. Bottom line is don't give up too quickly. You really have to keep at it. Start in a small area to see how many times you have to apply the procedure before you get what you want, then apply that to the whole door. Yes, it's very time consuming but it works. Now, we use a simple squeegee also purchased on Amazon, to remove water from the door and glass block tiles after each shower. That tip should have come with the door, because it's the thing that keeps the glass mostly free from hard water deposits. The door is flat and easy to squeegee but the glass tiles are not flat, so we're not able to get into some spots. Those areas require 1-2 applications after about 2-3 yrs. In 6 years, I have not needed to reapply Driven to the shower door, so removal of water is key.I thought of installing a whole house reverse osmosis filter system to get rid of the hard water problem, but the shower door and washing our vehicles would be the only real benefit at this point, so I passed. We already have a good Ecco Water system for the kitchen. And I didn't like it when as a kid and my parents installed a whole house RO. I never felt like all the soap was rinsed off your body.I hope that helps anyone who is going through this.

BEST PRODUCT ON MARKET!!
Live on the ocean, oceanfront glass, corvette windshield & windows ( underground parking) and deployed for 6 mo. Condo glass and auto windows hadn't been cleaned for months. Shocked to see ammt of salt water stain buildup parked underground.I tried 3 different WATER SPOT REMOVER COMMERCIAL PRODUCTS NONE OF WHICH REMOVED. TOOK CAR TO DETAILER WHO CHGED ME $100, AND REFUNDED $ AS CLDNT REMOVE.Talked w owner who applied my PPF and he said only product to use DRIVEN ACID GEL.BOUGHT ON AMAZON.....REMOVED COMPLETELY 100% OF SPOTS. Also sealed windows and left a rain ex type sealant that repels water & salt water stains.THIS IS BEST PRODUCT THAT WORKS COMPLETELY...FIRST TIME, AWESOME.Of note use product as directed with microfiber pad or cloth in small sections. Exactly as directed in small sections, I used abt 10" X 10". After spots removed and dry, light windex clean off.YOU WONT FIND A BETTER PRODUCT. Months of salt water/ hardwater stains removed FIRST APPLICATION!!

Fantastic product! Worked 110%!!!
I don’t review many things but this product is magic! I have been trying to find something to clean my disgusting shower doors from hard water stains for years. I was about to replace my entire shower because the doors look so terrible and embarrassing, then I tried this! Game changer! Just look at the photos! My husband is so happy he doesn’t need to replace the shower! The first picture is before I started, 2nd pic is with the doors wet, the right side is cleaned and left not cleaned, and the 3rd picture is finished! It took me about 1 1/2 hours, doing small sections with a kitchen sponge that had a scrub side. My doors were bad and now they are beautiful! Like new! Best product ever!

Hope when none existed
Had read a few posts about this product and, in spite of understanding that it was not a miracle product, figured I would try it anyway given that I had exhausted all of the other options (Bartender's Friend, Cooktop cleaner, toothpaste, white vinegar, etc). The hard water stains on my sliding glass doors made it difficult to appreciate the ocean views from our condo so I had to try something and had already made a call regarding glass replacement. DRIVEN arrived at my door and I read the instructions and went to work on my doors. I was buoyed by some early success as the swatch of glass that I used the product on appeared almost completely clean. I then moved on to the more difficult parts of the door where a little more elbow grease was required and a more abrasive scrubber than a damp cloth. I am happy to say that almost 95% of the hard water spots were removed. It wasn't a simple spray and wipe process by any stretch and it took a solid hour or more of scrubbing, rinsing and repeating but the difference is compelling and I can look out the doors and see the views that I have grown to appreciate in the past. I would recommend this product but understand that the results will still require some work on your part...but it was worth it.

This stuff works!
Outstanding product! Have 30+ year old residential windows that are still in very good condition but had stains/mineral deposits on the outside(the windows are double pane and seal is still good ie not "fogging"). Had professional window cleaner come and windows still looked "dirty" even though they were clean. Bought a couple other products without success. Tried this without expecting much, but it works fantastic. Used a Scotch Brite Dobie(sponge wrapped in nylon mesh) pad to apply. Followed instructions: wet window, in shade, wet dobie pad, apply paste/liquid to pad, and scrub in a systematic manner, rinse thoroughly. Very impressed.
