My first impression
Be careful and follow the instructions to install the foot pedals, because the left pedal is installed counterclockwise. It had me perplexed until I saw the instruction sheet, which is separate from the manual. Once I assembled the bike and took it for a ride, I had a very joyous time!

Very smooth ride !
Was planning to return the bike due to finding out that it was one speed after purchasing but when I took it out of the box, seeing how compact it fit inside the box caught my moms interest and we decided to keep it! It was very easy to assemble and although the bike was missing a piece the seller responded quick and sent one over right away! The bike rides so smooth and can go as fast as you're able to, riding everyday has become addicting because of this bike!

minimal, smooth, a must have in NYC
this bike is the ultimate purchase for the minimalist commuter. no frills, great function, sleek style, and super light. i’ve taken it on the subway and ridden it from queens to manhattan. super durable and great speed. the chain cover is awesome. if you’re a commuter and want an effective means of transportation, this is your bike.

Disappointed
I ordered two bikes. Both came a day early but one of them didn’t come with all of the necessary pieces to assemble the bike. I’m highly disappointed

Best folding bike
I've owned quite a few folding bikes:Schwinn Loop, Euromini Zizzo, Adventurer, Tern Link A7, and the Dahon Speed Uno. The Dahon Speed Uno is by far the best. It's lightweight (and trust me, every ounce matters on the back), reliable, and gives me absolutely no problems. You would think one of the downfalls of this bike is that it's a single speed bike but I've found that the bikes with multiple gears are the ones that have issues with the chain. I've ridden the Dahon Speed Uno in Malibu Creek State Park (before the shooting incident) and should have really used a dirtbike since the ride was so scary rough and steep and the Speed Uno probably saved my life or at least saved me from serious injury. We periodically camp with a variety of tween boys who see screens 10,000X more than nature and none have gotten hurt on the Speed Uno but I can't say for the other bikes. The brakes on this thing is solid and it folds and unfolds quickly and easily. The cheaper or same priced bikes with more bells and whistles are tempting but in the end, I regret buying all of the others and wished that I had just bought more Dahon Speed Unos. I researched folding bikes for weeks on end and this bike was on most every list of best folding bikes. It's no hype.

Folding not so easy
I find folding the mainframe in half is extremely difficult. Of course I am almost 70 and female. But, that being said, I have no problem carrying it up the stairs. I also find that getting the handlebars just in the correct location to fold is difficult. It’s hit or miss whether I have it lined up correctly to get the magnets to connect. Definitely looks easier in the Dahon videos.
