There is a useful video on line that shows you exactly how to replace the old key housing.Took me about an hour to do because I didn’t have a pin punch, so had to improvise.I did try to use the existing ‘key’ attachment rather than use the one provided. But, due to a small size difference, had to fix the new attachment to the old key with the pin.Installation was easier when I loctited the metal part to one half of the shell.Very pleased with the result.

Quality is good but quite tricky to transfer over from old one

I ordered this Key Kit thinking if it works great if not it hasn’t cost a lot. So here goes.I went on U Tube so was able to see first hand how to take apart and put together the new keyA New Key would have cost me over £150. A lot of money for a pensioner to find. Brilliant Buy.Thank you so much.

The 'key' part is not the same fitting as in my original hyundai fob, so does not spring I and out. So am using this is now as the spare. Had two keys with the car so have started to use the second one I got when I bought the car new.The original hyundai fob are very well sealed! You have to be really careful when removing the chip from it. Did some research on YouTube before attempting the change. Three stars because the key it does not fit properly, but the electronic works well however.

The buttons on my Hyundai car key had worn away so I've been looking around for a replacement as the main dealers quote seemed to be approaching a second mortgage and then I found this. Providing you have some practical skills replacing the worn keypad was relatively simple and quite quick. Less than twenty minutes and I had a brilliant readable and working key again! What more could you ask for?

A lot cheaper than buying a new key easy to install

It is possible to switch just the blade of the key into this unit (on i10 key at least). Look carefully at the base of the blade and knock out retaining pin. Blade pulls out. May have to file fitting down slightly as slightly different thickness but easy.
