Great product at a great price
Update: (I had one hearing device fail, but not completely the sound was just scratchy and I thought BLJ only had a 30 day warranty. I was wrong on that point. The warranty is for one year and once BLJ made that clear to me they took care of the problem. I am now returning my rating to 5 stars. I've been using these now for about 7 months and they are very durable and are very easy to use.) These are great little devices. Well here is the deal with these hearing aids. First they are very small, don't be fooled by the pictures. It will take some time to figure them out. You will have to figure what cushion fits you best. They come with, small, medium and large. I tried them all. I found that the small work best for me. There will be a lot of squeal while you try to figure out what volume, mode and cushion to use. Also you will have to figure out how far to push them into the ear canal. I was getting squealing if I put my jaw in a different position and I found this very annoying. We are made of flesh and bone and when we move our mouth it will change the shape of the ear canal. I found that this problem can be over come by placing the hearing aid deep enough into the ear canal to assure a good seal to prevent feed back (squeal). Don't give up on these little hearing aids, for the money they are great. I'm hearing, birds, crickets, and frogs. These are things that I didn't even realize were missing from my life. I can keep up with conversations much better now. You will have to give your brain time to adjust to the new sound and it will start to seem more normal as time goes on. I tried Eargo and I think they are the best out here on the internet and the people that make them will actually talk to you and provide the best help and service. The only problem is my hearing lose is so bad that Eargo could not provide the volume that I needed. So I returned for a full refund less handling cost. I am !00 percent satisfied with the BLJ hearing aids. I have the left and right. They provide great volume and with 3 modes you have a very good chance to find one that works for you. The price is fantastic! I've only been wearing these for a month, so I think I will continue to figure out more ways to make them work better for me. I prefer the battery rather than charging types. With batteries if they go dead while out and about, no problem just put in a fresh battery and off you go. I keep a pack of batteries in my billfold, that's just too handy. All I can tell you is no matter what hearing aids you try you will have to do a lot of experimenting to get them right. So hell, I've done all the work for you with this brand. so get a pair of these and use my advise and start enjoying telling other people to not talk so loud. Good Luck my friends.

Reasonable Quality, but the control is crap.
Pros - Only one The amplification levels, and sound quality are quite good.Cons -1. The control setup on this unit is absolutely awful. There is one control. a momentary push button the size of a uniball pen tip that is incredibly difficult to operate.2. It controls all of the units functions. If you press the button for one second it lowers the volume by one step out of 8. The only indication that the volume has changed is that it beeps twice. Meaning that you have to have it in your ear trying to operate a tiny button you can't see to know that it has changed, and the control only operates in one direction DOWN. Meaning that to turn the volume up one notch you have to turn it all the way down, and then to the max which is uncomfortably loud for me. All the while keeping a count of each change to know what level you are at.3. The button if you can call it that also controls which of the 3 frequency ranges it amplifies the most. Pressing the button for 2 seconds changes it to the next range. Since mine was accidentally set to the right range for me from the factory I haven't tried to fool with it.4. Here is the kicker. The same button also turns the unit on and off when held down for 5 seconds. This function does absolutely nothing. I have held it for 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 seconds, and it doesn't turn off. I don't know if this is more bad design, or if they are defective. I is still returnable for a while so I will play with it some more during that time.

It really works!
I spent a thousand or two for behind the ear prescription hearing aides, that just didn't do it for me. I wore them religiously for a year, and found them less than comfortable, and allowing me to hear things I didn't want to (behind me), while still missing what I wanted to hear (in front of me). I finally took them out and they have been sitting in the medicine cabinet for two years. Another down side was my clients started asking me when I was going to retire once they saw those things behind my ear. NOT GOOD.For a couple years I went without, and it was apparent I was missing important things in conversations, and just not really able to interact in family dinners, social gatherings, etc. After the umteenth fight with my wife over the volume of the TV and radio, I knew I had to do something.Something didn't allow me to spend $5,000 or more on the concealed higher end ones in the ear canal. With the recent FDA approval for other devices on the market, I started Googling and found the BLJ D-L-C2B devices on Amazon. The price seemed certainly reasonable for giving it a try. I ordered the left from BLj and the right from another vendor thinking I would need two. The left came in Friday. I am still awaiting the right. Anxious, I opened the left on Saturday, and tried to use it.It takes perseverance to find the right settings for your specific needs. I initially spent 45 minutes in frustration trying to get it to work. Each time high pitch squeals in my ear. I put it aside, and came back to it a couple hours later determined to make it work. There are a multitude of options for setting. There are 8 separate hearing volumes, 3 separate frequency settings, and 6 different ear domes (cushions or cradles) .If you don't get the combination right, the feedback (buzzing) is intolerable. I understand the previous reviewer who gave up on his, and stomped it into the ground for satisfaction. After a couple of hours trying , I settled on the lowest volume, program 2 (middle of the road), and the middle sized cradle with the pull out tail. It became apparent as I was trying all the combinations, and they kept squealing before i put it in my ear.My Wife and I went out to dinner last night, sitting at a crowded bar, and I could hear most everything she had to say effortlessly for the first time in ages! On a rare occurrence, I would get momentary feedback ( a shrill sound) but just nudge the unit, and it would stop.Today i wore it out with my family. For some reason, i am getting more feedback today, so I have been doing a fair amount of adjusting, but for every hour of clear hearing, I am wrestling with it for a minute or two.I am sorry i ordered one for the right ear. The left seems more than enough. It is not invisible. Looking straight on, most people wont see it, but any side view it is apparent. From my estimation, it is far better than those things hanging behind your ears. Also, It is pretty comfortable. My ear canal was itching last night, but today seems better. I recommend at this point, but if things change, i will update my review later.
