Much more than a "Space Atlas":1.A brief history of man's understanding of the universe. 2. The Solar system: early concept to the most current, completed with astrological and modern charts; up-to-date sections on each planet, with glorious photos. the same treatment for the Milky Way galaxy and the universe. 3. Edwin Hubble, Island Universes and the Big Bang . 4. If you need a challenge: the last chapter introduces Quarks and String Theory.

DK makes books that are visually stunning & fun to read. The text is organized on the pages in a way that's comfortable to read and keeps your eyes moving. "Space Atlas" is one of the best large scale books DK has ever done. It's perfect for all ages.

My husband is really into space, and is always looking to learn more. He also loves to know what things look like when learning about stuff, and I mean, who doesn't? This book does have pictures, but they aren't as in depth and informational as I'd like. It's better than nothing.I'm not wild about the wear on the outer sleeve, but at least none of the pages seem damaged.

This book has a lot of interesting information about pretty much everything in space, I really like it.

This book is of the highest quality, both in the content of the pictures and information, and in the materials.
