Casio EX-Z75 Digital Camera - Silver (7.2MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.6" LCD

I treated myself to this camera to replace my old compact film camera. The other reviews on Amazon helped me decide on this one - as well as the bargain price. Having received the camera and had a play with it, I'm really impressed. It's amazing for the money - the still photos are really sharp and the movie mode is also impressive - with several settings to choose from. The 2.6" screen is really big and clear - just what I wanted, so I could show off my pictures without having to put them on my PC first. The camera is very small and slim - and very stylish. The menu and controls are really easy to use. I even got a free camera case when I bought it from Amazon! (The Lowepro case is also worth complimenting - it's well padded to protect the camera and has an internal pocket for an extra memory card and an external pocket big enough for a couple of AA batteries, if you need them ... though this camera has it's own slimline rechargeable battery not AA). P.S. don't forget to buy yourself an SD card to go with the camera ... it's internal memory is only enough for about 3 x 7 MP pictures!

For the current Amazon price this is a bit of a bargain. The camera has a host of features that allow you a certain amount of creative control over pics. For a grab and shoot camera this one takes some beating in most light conditions.Unfortunately in nightclubs/bars or anywhere in doors - even with the Best Shot feature - the results are limited and usually either bleached out due to a severe flash or far too dark and grainy due to not enough light. There is a soft flash function but any difference it makes is not noticeable to me.ISO is up to 400 which to me is far too limiting especially with ANY indoor shots.Outside this camera excels. The colours are clear, defined and the 7.2 megapixels allow you top quality results.The functions on the camera are clear and easy to follow and with a couple of test shots you should be able to get the best performance out of this.I like the camera a lot; it looks good, has decent features and a range of facilities that allow a certain creative control but is limited in some of the areas I was relying on it most for.In summary if you like the look of this sexy little gadget and are not looking to take too many indoor shots then you couldn't ask for a better grab shot camera.

Considering that price, it's hard to believe just how good the EX-Z75 actually is. For starters it's a great looking camera. It has an all-aluminium body finished in an attractive brushed texture, with a polished bezel around the lens. The shape and style is clean and simple, with a round-ended profile and bevelled corners. The controls are well laid out, and are logically positioned for easy operation. On the back is a large 2.6-in wide-format monitor which, while relatively low resolution at only 114k pixels still manages to be bright and very fast. The screen is a major plus point to the camera and makes taking/viewing pictures a joy!Overall build quality is superb, and the fit and finish of the body panels and controls is very good. The card/battery hatch has a metal hinge. Despite its low weight and slender shape, the camera feels pleasantly solid and businesslike in the hand.I bought the Casio leather pouch which is a nice snug fit and the camera fits nicely in my pocket and no complaints from the wife!My only complaint like others is the battery. It died within 12 months and simply would not recharge. This was eventually sorted by contacting Casio who in fairness were aware of the problem and replaced it with a new one. I also bought a 3rd party Energizer one as a backup which is also doing well. Make sure you regularly charge them as when they go completely flat thats when the problems start.

I am impressed with the build of this camera. Some cameras at this price can feel flimsy. But, this one is solid and feels like it could stand a few knocks or even being dropped..heaven forbid!.Its also nice and thin and the screen is a decent size.Pictures are clear and colours are vibrant. Battery life is excellent...I havent really had the opportunity to check out any of the cool photo features like photographing fireworks or moving things..But its a nice bonus having them included.My only complaint is that maybe there should have been a dedicated button on the camera itself to switch between taking photos and filming. Because, when you are in a hurry to catch something on film, you dont need to be pressing more than one button.I think this camera is defiantely worth the price tag and would recommend it..

Review from a camera 'biff'Trust me you will not get a better camera for under £80 anywhere. It is small, takes excellent quality photographs and is easy to use.The instructions are basic but all that you need to use this user-friendly camera. There are not 100s of buttons and flashing lights on it so someone like me who knows absolutely nothing about cameras can use it easily with great results.All you have to do is buy a cheap 1 gb SD Card and you have a small camera that fits in your pocket that will last your entire holiday, and from what I can see of battery life, it will probably last the average holiday without a re-charge.DEFINITELY recommended for all but professionals.

I bought this just over a year ago, and although the camera itself is fantastic, the battery is appalling. There appears to be a fault either in the charger or the battery itself (this is widely documented on the internet) so that after a few charges, it refuses to do anything. I contacted Casio and they were brilliant at getting me a replacement battery in a few days. However, after charging it, oh ONCE, the new battery is completely dead and refuses to charge. There's no power in it at all, so it is useless. I now have to contact Casio again and see if I can get another one!! But it will probably happen again... :/

ja- wer für den Preis eine Profikamera erwartet- der sollte die Finger davon lassen. Selbst Hobbyfotografen wissen das die Casio nicht die beste Fotoqualität hat. Wer also eine billige Kamera- die trotzdem super Fotos macht- sucht, sollte zu einer canon, fuji... greifen.Aber diese kamera ist nun mal zurzeit die günstigste 'Hosentaschenkamera', bei guten Lichtverhältnissen gibt es kein Rauschen- und sie sieht super aus. Klar wer "nur" fürs Fotografieren lebt- den interessiert das nicht. Aber hat man wirklich Lust 5 min lang zu warten bis man das perfekte Bild geschossen hat? Mit dieser Kamera muss man mal kurz stehen bleiben- und schon hat man es! Jetzt aber die Minuspunkte:- kleine Farbveränderungen -die man über den Weißabgleich (versch. modi) versuchen kann zu ändern (aber Vorsicht: das Display selber gibt manchmal Farbveränderungen wieder und ist ein wenig unscharf -> man sollte am Display nicht entscheiden ob das Bild deswegen gelöscht werden sollte)- das berühmte Rauschen- gibts nur bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen- also bei Dämmerung/Nacht und drinnen. Aber da mache ich kaum Fotos- stört mich nicht wirklich. (mit der Bestshot Modi Sonnenuntergang hab ich aber schon tolle Impressionen eingefangen- geht bei anderen Kameras nicht so einfach!)- das Menü mit den Bestshot ist wirklich ein wenig überladen- ich würd am liebsten ein paar daraus löschen die ich nicht brauch, weils es so unübersichtlich ist.- der Akku/SD Karten-Deckel ist nicht sehr stabil (ich habs sogar schon geschafft ihn während des Fotografieren ungewollt aufzumachen- und das sollte nicht möglich sein!!) hab jetzt abe ne Handhaltung wo das nicht mehr passieren kann ;-)- die Kamera zeigt nicht konstant den Akkustand an- es kann einen also 10 min bevor sie ausgeht treffen oder auch nur 2min vorher- gerade wenn man viele Filme gedreht hat, ist er viel schneller am Ende. Tipp: öfter mal Laden anstatt einen teuren Zweitakku kaufen.hab die Kamera jetzt schon 3 Monate und es wirklich nicht bereut.Das perfekte Zubehör: einfach eine 1Gb SD-Karte und eine funktionelle und passende Noname Tasche-> für ca. 20 Euro ist man dabeiEdit: nach zweieinhalb Jahren gibt es die Kamera immmer noch- und ich bin natürlich nicht mehr so zufrieden mit ihr. Ich habe aber ein paar Tipps für jemand der auch im dunklen gute Bilder haben will.Man kann die ISO-Einstellung auf 50 oder 100 runtersetzten (ab 200 fängt es an zu rauschen)und mit einem Stativ oder einer Auflage auch gute Bilder im Dunklen machen z.B. in Kirchen.Wenn es keine Auflage gibt kann man auch mehrere verrauschte Bilder vom gleichen Motiv machen und sie dann mit einer Software so nachbearbeiten das ein gutes rauskommt - ist natürlich ziemlich viel Aufwand, aber es geht.Künstlich kann man die Helligkeit auch mit dem EV-Regler ändern - also ein Bild dunkler machen - dann gibt es ein bisschen weniger Rauschen.Schade das man bei der Kamera weder Belichtungszeit oder Blende einstellen kann- die sucht sich die Kamera nach ISO-Einstellung und Zoom Bereich aus - sind aber immer gleich - und ich bin überrascht das trotzdem ganz passable Bilder rauskommen.

Bon appareil photo sauf que lorsqu'on ne s'en sert pas pendant un moment la batterie se decharge completement et mm le chargeur est impuissant. Dans ce cas il faut faire repartir la batterie en la boustant avec une pile (grosse pile carrée). Ormis ce petit soucis que j'ai eu, ca reste un bon produit. Et maintenant je fais attention a ne pas laisser mon appareil photo innactif pendant un certain tps...

Ich bin mit der EX Z75 zufrieden. Gekauft habe ich sie um eine kompakte Zweitkamera zu haben, die man überall mit hinnehmen kann um Schnappschüsse zu machen. Für Urlaubsfotos oder planbare Knipsereien habe ich diese Cam nicht gekauft! Es stimmt schon, dass ein gewisser Ausschuß an Bildern entsteht die durch Unschärfe entstehen. Draußen macht die Casio bei Helligkeit allerdings sehr gute Bilder die sowohl scharf als auch farbkräftig sind. Vorallem die Videos sind sehr anschaulich. Bei zunehmender Dunkelheit und bei Innenaufnahmen empfiehlt es sich, aus dem Automodus eine manuelle Einstellung zu wählen. Nicht die Bestshot Funktion, die diverse Szenen vorgefertigt hat, sondern die Manuellen Einstellungen für Weißablgeich und Iso. Dies hilft unter anderen auch bei zu starkem rauschen. :) Die Bedienung der Cam geschieht intuitiv. Die Knöpfe sind gut erreichbar und durch den großen Bildschirm lassen sich die Motive gut wählen. Aufgrund der geringen Abmessungen musste ich mich erst ein wenig zurecht finden um die Taste zu treffen, die ich wollte. Inzwischen aber kein Problem mehr. Der fehlende Sucher hat mich bisher nicht gestört. Aber das Display könnte wirklich eine bessere Auflösung vertragen. Es ist schwer auf dem Display zu erkennen, ob ein Foto klar oder unscharf ist. Die Laufzeit des Akkus ist klasse. Ich komme mit dieser Cam sehr gut klar und bin für diesen Preis mit dem Preis Leistungsverhältnis mehr als zufrieden. Legt man einiges mehr an Geld hin, bekommt man mit Sicherheit eine bessere Digitalkamera. Aber für den Preis erfüllt diese Kamera absolut ihren Zweck

Ich habe vor ca. 10 Tagen die Exilim Z75 von Casio gekauft und bin mit der Kamera sehr zufrieden. Ich war auf der Suche nach einer Kamera, die sich leicht bedienen läßt und, trotz kleiner Größe, über ein möglichst hochwertiges und gut dimensioniertes Display verfügt. Zudem war mir bei meiner Wahl ein ansprechendes Design wichtig. Nun, all dies bietet die Exilim Z75. Das Teil ist wirklich sehr klein, läßt sich aber gut bedienen. Das Äußere gefällt nicht nur durch die schmucke Optik, sondern ist auch ordentlich verarbeitet. Auch die Akku-Laufzeit ist in Ordnung und nicht zu kritisieren. Die Bildqualität weiß zu überzeugen, man sollte sich aber vorher schon die Zeit nehmen, sich mittels der beiliegenden CD über die zur Verfügung stehenden zahlreichen Bildprogramme zu informieren. Es ist natürlich bei diesem Preis keine Kamera für Profis, dennoch für zahlreiche Privat- und Hobbyanwendungungen absolut okay. Was mir nicht so gut gefällt, ist nur, dass Casio das Display ab Werk nicht mit einer Schutzfolie überzogen hat - diese empfehle ich dringend! Da keine Tasche oder Etui beiliegt, sollte man sich dies auch möglichst zulegen (habe das Original in schwarzem Stoff gleich mitbestellt, dies ist optimal). An der Kamera selbst habe ich als Schwachpunkt nach eingängiger Prüfung nur bemerkt, das die winzige Klappe für den USB-Anschluß sehr empfindlich und bruchgefährdet erscheint. Das hätte man anders lösen sollen (müssen). Dies ist aber nur ein kleiner Mangel - alles in allem von mir: 5 Sterne - würde ich wieder kaufen!

Ich kann nur lachen, wenn ich die schlechten Rezensionen lese. Denn aus den meisten geht hervor, dass die betroffenen Personen absolut keine Ahnung vom Fotografieren haben (ich ehrlich gesagt auch nicht!).Dass eine 7 Megapixelkamera verglichen mit einer 2 Megapixel VIEL verwackelungsepfindlicher ist, muss jedem von Anfang an klar sein. Doch kommt niemand auf die Idee, die Pixelzahl zu verringern, wenn er möglicherweise zu faul ist, seine Arme ruhig zu halten.Es ist auch vollkommen normal, dass das Bildrauschen bei mehr Megapixel und schlechtem Licht sofort zunimmt. Da hilft es, die ISOs so gering wie möglich zu halten.Wer auch nur einen Testbericht im Internet liest, weiß danach alles, was die Rücksendefanatiker nicht wissen.Bei diesem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis werde ich ebenfalls zuschlagen und meiner Freundin zu Weihnachten dieses tolle Teil schenken.Casio hat mich bisher nie enttäuscht und stets durch hohe Funktionalität, einfache Bedienbarkeit, ein tolles Display und gute Fotos beeindruckt.Vor allem das eingebaute Mikrofon kann sich sehen lassen. Denn im Gegensatz zu fast allen anderen Kameras kann dieses auch die Tiefen aufzeichnen und somit jede Filmaufnahme sehenswert machen.Also bei dem Preis...kaufen kaufen kaufen!
