Time and trouble to return this item for a refund is counterproductive. (Hope next one works)
Shutting off the flow from the intake stopes the water overflowing into the bowl. Flushing the cistern then turning on the flow again you can watch the water rise in the cistern raising the float. (Lifting the float should stop the inflow. It doesn’t). The rising water continues till the float stopes but the water keeps rising till it flows into the overflow tube emptying continually into the bowl. That’s the same problem as this was bought to fix. Two Fluid-masters still the same problem. NEW INTAKE VALVE WORKS FINE. CAN ONLY THINK FIRST WAS A REJECT PUT BACK IN STOCK AND SOLD AGAIN

Easy to fit
It was rather easy to install this new part for the toilet. no leaking as expected. the only difficult part is the plastic screw part that goes against the underside of the cistern because it has to be tight, but otherwise anyone can do this.

Easy to replace
Easy to fit , and solved the problem of a noisy refill. I was replacing the same product so only had to change the top half.
