OEG Parts New Alternator Compatible With Chevy GM Geo Tracker 1.6L 89-98, Pontiac Sunrunner 1.6L 92-97, Suzuki Sidekick 1.6L 89-98

This is exactly as advertised. A brand new alternator for my son's project car out back. He kinda scoffed at it when he opened it for Christmas last year, but a a few months later he dropped it in and loved it. The old one was fine, but damn old. This one was brand new and inexpensive.

While a good value on it's face, that value only holds up if the product is usable. The wiring-plug hole, while already a tight fit on OEM, was misaligned in manufacturing; the plug was completely pushed to the side of the opening, so the plug would not go in. It appears to be glued or bolted from the inside and would not budge. Had to return it, and went down to Autozone where I got a remanufactured item with lifetime warranty for $20 more.

Install was easy, got was perfect, works great!

Was a carbon copy of the old one--perfect fit. And a lot cheaper than auto parts stores, with no core hassles.

Everything as far fitment goes is fine. Bolts up plug goes in correctly, but the alternator itself is complete garbage! It's a unit that is supposed to be tested as it should not fail for the user that purchases it! Well the one I received failed first day left me stranded it only has 10 miles on it and never worked because i was just driving off of battery until that got depleted. How are you people gonna send alternators out that do not work what so ever from the point of a person even using it the first time. Are you going to pay my towing bill you cost me because you obviously do not do quality checks on these units! I sense a LAWSUIT in your future and consumer affairs to deal with. Amazon should not even have this company as a seller/supplier to go wreck their reputation because of ! ZERO STARS !
