For some reason Delta doesn't offer these as part of the waterfall faucet lifetime warranty program. If you have one of those faucet then you know this fitting wears out and the faucet becomes unusable. Basically when the part fails the waterfall delivery tube pops up and falls out. Can be a big surprise.Would suggest if you like the Delta Waterfall faucet you get one of these so you have it in case the current one fails. It is a very easy part to replace but a critical one.

Perfect fit
Slid right over the faucet and snapped in place. Perfect fit. Make sure the slots on the bottom of the faucet line up with the channel in stub that the faucet slides down over. the tabs on the retainer have to go thru the faucet slots and snap into that channel to keep the faucet from shooting off when the water turns on.

It took weeks to get this and then there was no instructions so ultimately I couldn't use it.

OEM part for the faucet is the way to go.
Faucet works like new with the retainer and the two new washers. Not a plumber by trade but this was easy to do.

Easy fix
Simple and easy fix for Delta faucet. Our sink spout broke when the old retainer spout broke. I took the parts to a major home repair store, hoping to find a replacement spout. The store tried to tell me that I needed to buy an entire new 4 piece kit (spout, faucet lever, soap dispenser, and sprayer) to replace my existing hardware. That would have cost me around $350. Instead, I used the parts identifier on the Delta website and found that I just needed to replace this inexpensive piece. I ordered an extra to have on hand for the future. Super easy, super inexpensive fix.

good parts in generic packaging
While this worked fine (installation went great), it claims to be a 'genuine Delta repair part', but comes in plain packaging, with the Delta RP code on the packaging on a plain sticker. These MAY be bulk genuine items that are repackaged. If so, the listing should claim that, so that a fair comparison can be made
