Seems to be what I needed.
Haven't needed it yet, but should serve it's purpose but you will need both hands to climb down which means carrying a pet would be out of the question.

Good set up to help with a bad situation
It’s made to been a easy fix to a bad situation. It feels very sturdy but says to only use one time so can’t test performance. Made compact and still easy for a child to use. Could make so that there is no hinges so an even simpler or panicked child could still use with ease.

Practice before an emergency
We enjoy being able to have this ladder and actually allow the children the ability to use it before an emergency occurs. As a foster parent it is important to me for the kids to be able to practice as I do not really know the kids and how they react when under stress.

Save a life
This is a well made product and at a great price. Unlike other similar products, this ladder allows the user to practice and easily repack it for emergencies. Under stress, it's very easy to put into use. I'm satisfied and I would recommend it to anyone.

Can't test, but seems great.
Ladder seems sturdy, I can't test it because it says not to use it unless you have to. But I at least feel confident that in the case that I would need it, it's there.

Strap fell off
I would have rated higher, but I took it out of the box to remove plastic and make sure it fit on the window sill of our 103-year-old house and the Velcro strap that holds it together fell off. Hopefully I folded it back up correctly. The instructions state that it is for one use only. Debating on whether or not to return it for a replacement now.Otherwise it looks to be a decent product.

Still in the box by the window we will use to go out if we are ever caught in a fire will upstairs. Hope I never have to use it!!! Lol. :)
