Cirque Du Soliel // Le Grand Concert/The Concert

This is an impressive HD production, the sound and video quality is excellent, and the performances are Great! It seems to span most of the Cirque catalog. Most songs have lots of vocals (like a greatest hits from the shows). I was personally hoping for more of the original instrumental type of songs, but for original Cirque instrumental music, it is better to go back to first two or three CDs.

The product itself is good quality. Comes in both Blu-Ray and DVD. Nice packaging.Now, for the show. I love Cirque Du Soleil. I love them mostly for their music. So, when I found out about this concert filmed already, I had to buy it.The concert was good. No circus performance. There are cameo appearances of different Cirque Du Soleil characters. The whole concert was simply about the music. With so many songs listed in the program, I was not sure how they had the time to sing them all with a limited amount of time. How they did it was in a medley format; taking a couple of songs that sounded similar and weaving them together (such as Nostalgie from “O” and Bridge of Sorrow from “Delirium”). Not a lot of hit songs included in the concert. It was a good concert to watch. Can’t wait till their 50th anniversary.

Love Cirque, wish they had more. Beautiful & Graceful.

I thought it would include some acts from Le Cirque du Soleil - the omission of their performance should have been noted more clearly
