Busch & MüllerToplight Line Brake Plus Rear Rack LED Light

I wanted to upgrade the standard (1-led) 'Spanninga Solo' Brompton rear dynamo light.It was very straightforward to replace it - it took just a couple of minutes.The light is much brighter (2-led) than the original light; it stays on for a few minutes after arriving at your destination; it has a kill-switch - essential at railway stations. It includes the standard reflector required by law. Make sure you get the appropriate fitting as older Brompton bikes need a 80mm size.It does not have a flashing mode as this is illegal in Holland and Germany. Very happy with the upgrade.

Got this to go with the Dymo and front light from Busch & Muller.It has a large reflective area and an angled set of LED bulb at the top which produce a great light. But it goes further, as the dymo senses a reduction of speed the rear lights brighten to give the impression of brake/stop lamps being activated giving clear warning to following traffic.The light remains lit for several minutes after coming to a halt so you can still be seen while waiting at traffic signal. A small push button allows you to cancel this if you are locking up and do not wish the light to continue blazing.Comes in either 50mm or 80mm fittings so check which you require before ordering.It is a great bit of kit made to comply with the German STvZO regulations, and I cannot recommend highly enough.

Good quality strip of light from the LEDs. The brake function works well but seems to be more effective from higher speeds (20+ km/h). When slowing from 15 or 10km/h to 0km/h the brake function wouldn’t tend to activate from my observations.A replacement from Amazon was required after about a week of use as the light simply stopped working. The replacement was trouble free and quick and has worked without problems since.

I recently had the battery version of this lite but unlike that useless thing this is very good! It's very bright,stays lit for ages but I don't think the brake light functions correctly however I am more than happy with it.

No wiring are included. At this price point atleast include some wiring and connecters for gods sake

Sent the non brake light model, less bright than a simpler model, but it can be turned off which is important as I use the trains and they understandably are hostile to random red lights on the platform.

Very easy to mount as it screwed on to my existing pannier rack.The cables from my existing setup worked as well so it was just a case of screwing it on and plugging in the existing cables.I have had lots of comments from other cyclists that the light is nice and bright so should do me well come the winter.No complaints.
