I've tried them all and these have the best tone and playability of any string I've used. I'll never go back to anything else.

I prefer coated/treated strings because I don't play regularly and they seem to last longer.I, personally, don't care for Elixir strings.I think Cleartone strings sound better.These Martin strings sound great when new and absolutely last longer than untreated strings but not as long as Cleartones.It depends on what tradeoffs you are willing to accept.String choice is so totally subjective

Sound great play great. I use them on a dc1e Martin. The only thing I would recommend is to step down.001 in gauge size for better playability. It won’t compromise any tone or volume.

These are by far my favorite strings, my Ovation, Yamaha, Takamine, Guild all sound great, I like the balance of the custom light sets, they hold tune forever once broken in, and they feel good, stay untarnished well too. I’ve never broken one either, and I strum aggressive sometimes, yes you can get some Van Halen type harmonics, give them a try, they don’t break the bank either.
