I am visual person and step by step tutorials or clear pictures can be very helpful, and i often decide from a picture whether or not i would like to make something, rather than have to imagine it. Especially right now, when i still have no idea of how to do things, but i would like to get visual examples.Otherwise this book is very well compiled, author organized it into several chapters, talking about different jewelry making methods, and tools you will need for jewelry making.Then there are several projects with pretty clear instructions on how to make it - but again, one star down because of lack of pictures! From the description I pictured and thought I'd learn tips and tricks and be able to solder better from this step by step guide. The materials and processes in this book are obsolete. Someone new to jewelry making would never go buy borax cones to mix with water for flux; the new options are less hazardous, easy to use and clean up. I do some work with beads and my friends and I were thinking of making some unique pendants. I had heard of a few different methods so I thought I would give this book a try. The author goes into great details about material needed and tools to have to create your piece of art, and there are pictures so that is always very helpful (especially for beginners). I am not sure if I will actually make any jewelry using these methods, some seem a little more advance than I originally thought. There are different methods listed in this book, it is written well and easy to follow.I am a true beginner when it comes to making my own silver jewelry so I was hoping that the methods would be more detailed, but I feel like some were summed up quickly (like molding, author concentrated on 1 and not all 3). Before I would begin doing any silver work I would want to do more research and make sure I had all the information, so this book is a good starting point for me.I received this kindle book for free for my honest review.

Very basic text, no pictures or diagrams.It maybe cheap but there are better books available for a good price.

It's obviously a leader into her other books and doesn't go into a lot of detail. Nevertheless, it's useful as a shopping list for tools and to get some idea of what's involved. At such a low price, you can't really go wrong as a beginner.

Nice book so far

I was curious about this because this is one of those hobbies that can be made into a business. Inside is everything that you need to getting started I can see how if you can start making pieces then you could visit craftmarkets etc. If this is you then you could have fun with this.
