Echo Valley 8705 10-Inch Stainless Steel Gazing Gazing Globe, Red

It's beautiful, won't break, doesn't need a stand but could if you wanted . . . I lost 3 glass balls this year - 1 to wind, 1 to a fallen tree, and 1 to my own clumsiness. I'm loving my replacement choice :)

After having two glass balls broken by wind and, I don't know what, this one is still hanging in there. It looks great, and hasn't blown off it's pedestal or broken. It has not faded this summer and is in the sun all day. I highly recommend it.

I bought the silver sphere and am very happy. This won't break and it matches the smaller ones I bought. There is a slight ridge but no one notices. I really love the element it adds to the garden especially because it's kind of empty in that area.

The illustration for this globe clearly illustrates a stem-like appendage at the bottom. I specifically ordered it for that reason, so I could secure it on my pedestal. Instead, it is perfectly round. It is also lightweight, so that a wind of around 20 miles an hour can easily blow it off the pedestal. Finally, because it was wintertime and very cold when I received it, I didn't put it outside. Only about 2-2 1/2 months ago did I put it outside. The pretty, brilliant blue color is fading pretty much by the day. Can I say that this purchase is a real disappointment--unlike most Amazon purchases I've made.

Looked great at first--ball is sturdy--but the red coating peeled off in the sun during the first season. Now I have a half-silver ball.

Arco Iris Stainless Steel Gazing Globe looks nothing like the subtle coloring that is shown. It's a very bright rainbow of purple, turquoise and gold and a little uneven in spots. Since so many other reviewers are complaining that the globe colors fade maybe that's good thing. It's OK but for the price I expected better better quality.

This is so cool! I've had several glass globes that have eventually succumbed to the kids or elements. This looks great, and has weathered several strong storms,mooring good as new. I would highly recommend this.

I haven't used this yet but it is the right size and shape. I was surprised to see a complete ball with no tail. However, in my application, this will not be a problem.

Have broken at least four glass gazing balls (heavy winds), so decided to go with stainless steel for the durability factor. Added bonus, very pretty and reflects beautifully!

I`m happy with this purchase. Its just as advertised and looks good in my garden.

No more worrying about breakage and love the reflection.
