Armitage Shanks Conceala 2 Side Entry Inlet Float Valve SV80367, Multi-Colour

I bought this for two of the cisterns which were permanently overflowing in my house. This was costly since I have a water meter and pay for the volume of water used. This was specifically for the Armitage Shanks dual Valve cistern plumbing. Initially I replaced the dual pneumatic valve housing, thinking that this was the issue, but it wasn't. Then I replaced this Uni Valve, and it worked immediately. Its a little bit tricky to install, especially when you only have an opening the size of the dual push-button plate (about twice the size of a standard letter box). - You need to turn the main ball valve on the incoming water pipe off first (quarter of a turn with a flat end screw driver), then get both hands into the Uni-valve. To release it you need to pull the old one off from the flexible pipe, and lift the valve vertically whilst pulling it towards you. (I would need YouTube or photos to describe this fully). - Anyway once its replaced it has immediate effect. It all works fine now until the next build up of lime-scale. Hope this has been helpful.

Not the most exciting product to review but boy was I glad I made this purchase.This fit perfectly and stopped the water leak and whistling sound coming from the cistern.It was money well spent !

1. Really easy to install and quick to fit.2. Reason I give 4 stars is because the first part ordered didn't work. It did not shut off water once ball valve had reached appropriate height. I spent quite a long time scratching my head as to why it wasn't working, then i realised it had to be a faulty part. I ordered another part and it worked first time. I'm hoping for a full refund.3. FYI the part doesn't come with the plastic rod or plastic sleeve (per the picture )that attaches to flow pipe to make it nice and quiet into cistern.4. I get the impression these are not built to last, the first replacement only lasted a year!

OEM part although ever so slightly different (upgraded). Fitted in minutes and immediately stopped my cistern from constantly filling. Would recommend. Just be mindful, there’s two types - speedfit (this one) and a normal threaded fit onto the filler hose. Quick dispatch - 5/5

There was no Whisperflo delivery tube on the valve that I received despite this being shown in the picture and this is what makes the valve “Quiet”. Reading back through the reviews I see that others have also had this issue. The valve itself is fine but I had to take parts off my old valve to overcome this. Not great.

We've had this inlet valve part fail twice now on our main bathroom toilet. Ideal Standard reckon that the problem with the part generally is that limescale (caused by hard water) deposits on the washer inside which makes it faulty. They will usually offer to send a replacement washer but we find this doesn't fix the problem and is tricky to get into the casing to access the washer. We don't live in a hard water area so don't really believe what the Manufacturer says. Nevertheless, when the valve breaks down and you have water gushing into the toilet pan rendering it un-usable, it is imperative to be able to get a replacement part QUICKLY. This identical part from the Manufacturer is more expensive and takes a week to arrive. I ordered this from Amazon and it arrived the next day (we have Prime delivery) - so Amazon and its seller are our saviour to get the loo fixed before our weekend guests arrived. I notice there are several other ideal standard parts available on here so in future will not hesitate to order this way. Really thankful for Amazon x
