nasty
sound is good if you use decent headphones and plugin charge is good ,spent hours trying to work out how to play what I want ,nightmare ,maybe you could work this if you are a child or young adult for the more mature adult forget it ,you will soon be pulling out what little hair you have left .Navagation really stinks ,simply things like choosing what playlist you want is hidden yet rubbish like replay, repeat ,etc. is all to easy to press by accident .

Annoying
Bought this along with cassette adaptor when removing car stereo became too awkward to contemplate. First six months went OK apart from fiddly control button which occasionally fast forwarded or repeated when I was trying to turn it off. Instruction manual complete waste of paper. After six months, battery died and refused to recharge again. Have since bought replacement model with proper batteries I can take out and replace or recharge.

On first glance this might look like a decent MP3 player. The box looks great and the instructions are clear and easy to understand and then when you try using the thing that initial smile turns to a frown becasue this has got to be the most poorly designed MP3 that I have used. No clear indication of what to do and it took me five minutes to navigate. The buttons are also very clunky and the overall design has a cheap plastic like feel. All in all I guess that I could learn to love it but it just doesn't feel like a very well made product to me.

Bought this mp3 player a while ago but started using it a lot more recently. The sound quality is fine and I have no issues with the buttons / navigation. The only thing that really bugs me is the random function that is not at all random. It has a set order in which to play songs, in that it will play track 1, then 23, then 5, then 16 etc, but it does this every time. I now know what song is coming next, even on shuffle mode! I either have to set it back to normal every so often or put more or less songs on it in order for it to seem random again!

Fantastic fplayer or the price
I have had mine for 4 years now, have never had any problems with it, amazingly easy to put music on and to navigate. God sound quality. Easy and quick to charge. Battery still lasts on average 5 to 6 hours continuous play (not as good as at first but not bad seeing as it's used 4 to 5 times a week for this long). My 10yr old Granddaughter has had hers for over 2 years and has also had no problems. I am now looking for a NEW one for my Grandson.

When reviewing this product, it must be remembered that it is very much an entry level MP3 player with no bangs and no whistles for your money. While on this subject, it is available for a fraction of this price from another major retailer, and thus should be considered excellent value. I particularly like the review above from the customer who discovered it can only be charged whilst the unit is switched on - this is counter-intuitive and caused me to take one back to the store as I thought it was faulty. THIS SHOULD BE MADE CLEAR IN THE INSTRUCTIONS!! The sound quality I consider good and I prefer it to a more expensive BUSH model I also possess as it is much less prone to fractional jumps when replaying the MP3 coding. One of the features basic 'lack of features' I also consider a type of strength. There is no menu system on the music replay so you have to 'tab' past each song in the order you saved to get to the one you want. THEREFORE, THIS UNIT IS ONLY SUITABLE FOR STORING A SMALL LIBRARY OF SONGS AT A TIME. The strength of this on the other hand is that it does not suffer from the menu system of more sophisticated units which tend to play back tracks in alphabetical order, which makes listening to most 'concept' albums, in which the running order is vital, impossible.

Cheap and reasonable, but with flaws
As a basic cheap player it's not bad, the sound quality is good enough for my needs. However there are a couple of behaviours I find irritating:1) It seems to have a "soft start" for each track where it ramps up the volume over maybe half a second. This is really annoying when you have tracks which start immediately on zero seconds, as you miss the first beat.2) The scan backward function ("rewind" in the good old days!) slows down to the point of being unusable if you're playing a long mp3 track. This may or may not be related to my use of VBR MP3 encoding - I've not tried it on non-VBR. I frequently use the player to review recordings of my band's practice sessions and live gigs - over an hour in length as a single file - and it's really frustrating if you want to go back to hear something again. As others have found:Yes, you do have to remember to switch it on before plugging into usb charger or pc port if you want to charge the battery. You need to learn to use the "M" button for just about everything, even selecting a track from a folder (I'm still often locating a track and then hitting the the central "play" button instead of "M" - it just ignores the selection and goes back to what was playing before)The volume limiter is irritating, again you have to use "M" to get past mid-volume.
