Wise Outdoors Super Sport Hunting Seat with Insulated Cooler

I'm using this seat in a couple of ways. I use it in an Xpress XP-180 as a third seat. I take it in small John boats when I fish small ponds and want to be comfortable. Having the lower section insulated is great, it saves me bringing a separate snack ice chest along. I can put in about 5 cans of soda and 2 re-freezable blocks that are about 10x10x1.5, and still have room for meat/cheese, etc. The insulation is removable so you can just use it to store gear, baits, shells, hand/foot warmers, etc. I'm 190lb and handles me with no problem. It's remarkably sturdy and more well built then the picture shows. The seat uses the same kind of turning mount that bass boats use and it's on there solidly. For a lonnnng day outdoors an inflatable donut cushion will make this like a La-Z-Boy in terms of seat comfort. The built in cushion is ok too, but the inflatable donut closes the deal for a long day. The hinge hardware on the back is strong as well as the latch. Sometimes my wife goes with me and in an emergency we keep a small bucket in the boat that can be set in the bottom section for a makeshift toilet for her; just to have that option is great. I would buy this again in an instant for boating, hunting, or small jon boats where you remove everything at the end of the trip. Can easily be used as dry storage for phones, etc. but doesn't have the seals of a true waterproof box like an OtterBox for example.

Like: It's compact to use in a portable ice fishing hut, when there's not a whole lot of room. (We put heaters in our portable shelter, as it's a bit chilly in NH at times)Like: It stores things under the seat. We don't use as a cooler as it's kind of cheesy for that, but my hubby and FIL do like the storage (usually propane for the heater or other ice fishing gear).Like: Surprisingly sturdy for plastic. My hubby is a big guy, but also doesn't usually lean back, so not sure how sturdy the back is.Like: The cushion is comfortable.Dislike: Insanely overpriced for a plastic storage bin. A 5 gal bucket with a cushion cover would likely work just as well. I should have ready the details a bit better before buying, which is my fault. For some reason I thought it was metal of some kind.

Love it! As a bigger guy 6’4” tall 380 pounds this is a must have for deer hunting weather I am stalking, I need a break, or whether I am still hunting! Loved the seat swivel silently. And all around a great value whether you are fishing hunting or using it in the garden!

I'm very happy with this product. It is well built and the seat swivels flawlessly and QUIETLY. It's not a cheap swivel like you find on the seats for 5 gallon buckets. It's what you would find on the front seat of a bass boat. And the back rest feels sturdy and I don't feel like I'm going to break it when leaning back. And That is exactly what I wanted. Works perfectly for me when I'm squirrel hunting. The cushion is decent. It's no lazy boy but it's better then I thought it would be. I also purchased a back pack set up from www.5gpack.com so that I could carry this seat on my back instead of using the shoulder strap. Only problem was the straps were to short. As they were ment for a 5 gallon bucket. Took it to a tailor and for 10 bucks had them add on 12 inches to the two straps. A simple easy fix. I plan on using this for ice fishing too. Cant see how it won't be a perfect thing to have out there on the ice, I'm sure I can fit 12 beers in there. Over all a very good product and have no complaints about it.

I’ve been taking this on my duck hunts. It is fantastic! I’m 380lbs and it is strong. The swivel seat is awesome for the duck boat, allowing me to get a good swing on birds when needed. The cooler inside keeps my drinks cold and the tray on top has plenty of room for chexmix bag, jerky etc.

I bought this expecting that it would crack and fall apart in the sun like most plastic products now. I've kept it in my covered balcony in TX for 3 years where it gets a couple hours of direct sun every day. It has held up exceptionally and works as good as new. Strap has held up too. Only critique is that there are 2 holes on the lid. Wish they were covered as mud daubers came in through them and built a nest inside. I would recommend covering it with tape.

Seat needs to be bigger and better padded. I tried using my foam hunting pads but out was too thick and raised me up which made my knees hurt, the other one was ok for a while but on an all day hunt it made my lower spine hurt. Also have to be careful not to kick the side of bucket when pulling legs back. The pivot is stiff to move be hand but seems to work well when seated and it is very quiet. I used it in a tree stand with a rubber mat under it to muffle sound other wise it could be noisy if it slides at all. The back rest is ok but after a few hours it becomes uncomfortable, it should have some padding on it. It is nice for storage of gear. The foam cooler is a nice feature but not really need for hunting in cold weather.

My sister, owner of Messy Bun CC VIP, personalized it a bit for my dad. He absolutely loved it. Perfect size to be used at the docks, side of a pond, or even in his hunting blind. Light enough to fill full with essentials and hike through the woods, or walk around the pond to find a good fishin spot with ease.

exactly as described only down fall is no way to prevent lid from opening .. locking mech is not reliable to stay locked, one small bump and it will open
