Amazon EssentialsMen's Stretch Woven Braid Belt

Quality manufacturing, consistent sizes, no issues
Perusing woven belts on Amazon, I've found it difficult to make a decision because even when there are mostly outstanding reviews there are also the inevitable outlier horror stories. Finally I took a chance on this Amazon Essentials product, and I'm glad I did. The stitching of the leatheresque pieces to the fabric seemed secure, the tapered end was easy to insert into my belt loops, and equally easy to remove (and I have had other woven belts where that actually WAS a problem because of the protrusion of the tapered piece, so I am somewhat educated on this potential problem).Another thing on Amazon reviews of this kind of belt in general was apparent poor quality control or perhaps better said stockroom control, in that the same length of belt, ordered in a given length, could arrive in many different lengths. In my case, not much of a problem, as seen in the photograph attached. I have about a 33" waist. I ordered three belts: a green 32", a tan 32", and a dark brown 34". I ordered the 34" primarily because the 32" brown was unavailable; but since the product reviews of this kind of belt can't decide whether one should order slightly longer, slightly shorter, or "to size", I thought the 34 might end up being better for me anyway. In the event, as you can see in the picture, they all are essentially the same length, and they all fit me fine since you do need to stretch the belt a little bit to get it snug. Ordering anything shorter would have been a problem, but ordering the right size (34") or even two inches longer would also have been fine. (Fortunately the engineering tolerances in stretchy belts are a good deal less stringent than for automotive parts!) Basically, I didn't feel that these belts need to be stretched excessively in order to hold up my pants! Finally, a minor point. On the Amazon web site, the brown and green are listed as being made in Cambodia, while the tan is listed as made in China. However, all three belts I received, including the tan, are labeled as Cambodian products. In rating these belts, I skipped the "durability" criterion, since I've only owned them for 30 minutes! If they fall apart in a short time (really not expected!) I'll add to the review.

Nice stretch to these belts , they keep your pants up with comfort
I’ve always enjoyed wearing belts that stretch and this product delivers . It also keeps your pants up without the rigid feel of a traditional belt . The price is very reasonable for sure !

My husband loves it
My husband is a truck driver, so he does spend a majority of his day sitting. This leads to a problem with his pants fitting comfortable about half the time. He could be comfortable either sitting or walking. This belt is very comfortable and keeps his pants up, job well done.

Great Product Materials, Questionable Manufacturing Quality Control
These belts were purchased 3 belts to replace 3 that had become too long due to stretching and weight loss. Looking at the pictures for comparison, the bottom 3 belts were ordered at the same time, and the top belt is one that I am replacing. All were measured from the area where the belt buckle is attached to the leather & webbing. A size 38 was ordered to fit a size 36 pants (as noted in the sizing table on Amazon), and the expectation was that these belts would be 2 inches shorter than the size 40 they were replacing. First, the size 40 belt had increased to about 46 1/2 inches in length. As can be seen in the photos, the bottom blue belt is 43 1/2 inches, the khaki belt is about 44 1/2 inches, and the black belt is 46 inches in length. All of the belts ordered reflect they are size 38 on the back of the leather. Thus, I don't know if a size 38 is supposed to be 38 inches or 43 1/2 inches. The quality control in the sizing is lacking. The 2 lower belts fit OK, but the black belt is essentially the same length as the size 40 shown in the picture. There is one other issues with the belts worth noting, though it is not necessarily a fault of the product manufacturer. With the exception of larger belt loops (such as blue jeans), the leather end tab of the belt gets hung on most belt loops when taking the belt off or having to retighten the belt. It's a nuisance and I don't like it, but I also wear other pants besides blue jeans. The quality of the product is exceptional. I have purchased web belts in nationally known, higher quality department stores that are not as well made and cost 2 - 3 times as much. I wear these type belts daily unless I am needing to wear pants that require a leather belt for the occasion. And, I will buy these again. When I order again, I will order a size 36 in lieu of a size 38.I would have rated these a strong 5 had it not been for the quality control in the sizing / length of the belts.UPDATE: I recently purchased a size 36 belt for a size 36 pants in lieu of a size 38 belt. The belt is a better fit, BUT,...the size 36 belt is only an inch shorter than the size 38 belt even though the size 38 has stretched somewhat. I ordered both a tan and black belt. The tan belt was about an inch shorter than its predecessor, and the black belt was only about 1/2 more short. I like the belts, but question whether or not the quality control on the lengths are tight enough.

Way more comfortable than leather
I use a measuring tape at work and wear it on my belt. Ruins leather fairly quickly but the mesh holds up much better. The comfort of it is the most distinct difference...it doesn't cut into you when you sit.

Doesn't have "holes", you make your own hole.
Stretchy and comfy. Belt end doesn't fit inside the buckle too easily you may have to angle it. Material seems good quality hope it lasts!
